Wondering have anyone done miracast with HTC One?

Do I really need extra device? eg NETGEAR PTV3000 that seems to be popular around

Was reading the previous thread about NFC. Mine seems to works with Power Saver On.

I bought some NFC tags from a forumer here. HTC One is using NXP chipset so works for both MiFare and NTAG203. For comparison, Nexus 4 onwards including S4 is using Broadcom which currently can't read some types of MiFare tags.

It's quite fun, I use it to change 'profile'. I was also able to write into my company tag so every time I go office just tap on my tag (and it checks in to 4sq too).

It's pretty useful for me too. I like the ability to switch profiles and slightly more without tapping much on the screen. You can give it a try before purchasing blank tags by using application that reads existing the NFC tag (eg: mykad, touch n go etc) then runs the tasks you configured. Nicest I found so far is AnyTAG NFC Launcher.

It doesn't write data to the tags. It just scans the uniqueID and then lets you configure the tasks. Then every time you scan the tag again, based on the Id, it executes the tasks accordingly. Give it a try the app is free.

I did try writing data to my company tag though, it works haha.

Yeah it's troublesome but not really a downside. It's mean for security purpose.. you don't want your phone to go read any unauthorized tags or beaming malware and also since contactless payment systems is one of the usage for it.


I am new to this also... had wanted to do that tried googling but apparently you can't. You can only copy any data that is readable. access card and tng has some sort of encryption. Well makes sense..
