ok, got this info on HTC website

https://support.htc.com/en-us/030-HTC_One_T...ile/020/050/020

Note: IfData connection is selected, HTC One automatically disconnects from the mobile network after 15 minutes when the screen is off and the data connection is idle (no download activity, streaming, or data usage). It reconnects and then disconnects periodically when the data connection is idle to save battery power.

Turning the data on off will use up more battery if u ask me.  I dun use the power saver mode cos I noticed myself when I on it it drains my battery more.  Or mayb it's just me lol

very subjective as if you always on your screen to check on notification, then i think powersave is not much of a use to you

to me it is definitely save more juice as it donwclock the CPU and data connection
why i earlier on ask is because i am curious when it will off data when off the screen
if you always on the screen, then the power save is not efficient

i did not tick the vibration and screen brightness

No BlinkFeed, No BoomSound (Beats Audio) Sound Equalizer, No Zoe, No Sense 5.0?

Thanks but no thanks. tongue.gif

If the Galaxy S4 has a Nexus (Google Edition), it'll be cool against the cartoonish TouchWiz UI.

But certainly not for HTC One.  brows.gif

i will wait for a few weeks where i am quite certain my One got no hardware problem

Just like to share a tip to those who are new to the phone or just got the phone. The HTC One does not come with any notification toggles when you swipe down from the top of the phone (like Samsung phones). To change / toggle anything such as wifi, data, screen rotation etc, you have to enter settings and change from there, which is quite cumbersome and need many steps.

I've tried a few apps, but the best app I found that will allow us to create and customise our own notification toggle when we swipe down from the screen is an app called "Notification Toggle". Here is the url: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...ionToggle&hl=en

This app is quite good actually, can customised which toggles to show/hide, colour, text etc. In a way, it is good that HTC Sense didn't come with stock notification toggles because then you'd be stuck with whatever they gave you. Now with the app, we can customise the toggle to show only the ones we used the most, sort in the order we like, and hide the rest. I put the toggle i used the most (which is the sound/vibrate toggle) on the right most so that easy to reach with thumb, and the one I least used on the most left (farthest from the thumb). By the way, here is how my notification toggle looks like:

I think is one of the MUST HAVE app for HTC one. Best of all, this app is FREE.

If anyone else know of any other good apps that you think is a MUST HAVE app for the HTC one, please share. I also want to download it.

i personally like power toggles

Logically speaking, if the HTC One Google Edition is true and coming soon, we can almost forget about 4.2 on our HTC One, as 4.2 will be the key selling point of the Google Edition.  sweat.gif

Or HTC will take their own very sweet time to purposely delay the release of 4.2 on our phones.  ohmy.gif

well if that is the reason HTC for not upgrading, the adios to HTC in the future
but i dun think that is the case as S4 did launch with 4.2.2
and htc wont be agressive selling one goog edition cos it din add value to the htc brand
what add value to the htc brand is zoe, blink feed and sense 5 biggrin.gif thumbup.gif

Hardly drains any battery to let them do their stuff, just be ready for random 3g/wifi off when screen is off tongue.gif

the current power save is not agressive in terms of data connection on off when off screen.

it will only discconnect 15mins after you off the screen, not enough in my opinion

15 mins too long? o.O  When you're having whatsapp msgs etc etc and no data incoming, lagi jialat lol.
*
if you are expecting whatsapp, common sense will that you wont off your data right?
if wanna save power and you are down to 15%
by waiting for it to auto discon data will make it almost useless la
just an analogy that i think 15mins is not aggressive enough
