uncle i used goomanager to flash the latest twrp, but my phone still cant get into recovery~!
*
Did you see the download progress and thereafter installation process ?
It will definitely work - I use same method too on my other phones too
after reboot, shut down phone. Press vol down+power and you get into fastboot mode. Use vol buttons and select recovery n use power button to select
Or you can install free app Quickboot and select recovery instead of using the hard buttons

btw sifus, wanna ask

do i still need to flash superSU if i flash a custom rom in order to gain root access?
*
Not necessary as I believe most custom roms comes prerooted. If you dont have superSU, than just flash the supersu zip through recovery - small matter only

About 1 hour checking, testing here and there, my final thought is "this is a beauty". I remember while i was having my old Htc HD2, this is what i imagine and hoping what htc phone will be in future. It is really the essence of HTC at an almost perfect manner (well, still some improvement needed in finishing parts especially at the side bezel, and also camera can be higher mp, well we know htc reserve for next phone). Glad that i chosen this over S4. And hey, i doesn't feel like wanna root and use custom rom at the moment. Liking the htc sense, its just very nice, i did not wish for more at the moment. I think this has totally surpassed iphone 5... Although i need to get use to the heightened keyboard lay out, miss type many times, lol.. i will keep my ipad for the ios needs (as a mac user, having ios device do bring sone benefits), but for a phone, One is the one. Glad with my purchase. smile.gif

(I know i'm a slowpoke, but just expressing my toughts) lol

Cheers to all One users!

CWM is very much slower ( at least 50% to even 100% ) in backing and restoring roms
Rom backup is break into 2 folders - in the OBB folder , no way you can identify which are the actual roms backup - difficult to delete any unwanted rom backup when you wish to do so

Root it juts to get rid of the horrible 3 dot menu which appears in certain apps - reducing display size to only about 4.5 inch ; you can use Modaco mod to set the back button to display menu. Also can use vol key to wake screen - the off/on button at top is darn inconvenient to use especially if you have put on a casing
Rooting will also allow you to remove any of the bloatwares you dont need at all

I've been an enthusiast since the era of htc hd.. been updating phones upon every flagship released, be it htc, samsung, nexus, iphone.. my last android was note 2, i was still disappointed, then i tell myself to quit for a while and wait for android phone to evolve more, and stick with iphone (well its a stable platform ready to use, lol).. that was half year back since my last android update, i keep on refrain myself from getting a new one, until this One. biggrin.gif really, its a satisfaction to me, personally.

Hope this help for your decision of getting this. biggrin.gif

Hi Uncle, its been a while.. biggrin.gif

Yeah, but i don't mind about them at the moment, thus will keep the stock for the time being.. my only interest in rooting at this point might be only to use the Titanium back up and block ads.. but, i'll let it first
