At the moment, no smartphones in the market, Pureview 808 or Lumia 1020 can match the quality of DSLR or even good quality compact like Sony RX100. The difference is substantial if you do serious comparison. But if your goal is to improve the quality of your daily casual shots compared to using say iPhone or Galaxy, 1020 is unbeatable.
