Nokia fans are a funny bunch. Before EOS, pray it will happen. After it happened, dream it never happened.

If you can't keep up, that's your Damn problem. Work harder so that you could afford it.

Every OS and phone also got these kind of people de lah whistling.gif
Just buy what you're comfortable with and use the phone for 2-3 years. After that change again. biggrin.gif

Off-topic: if there's a thread war going on around here, it must be someone who started it..

and it's quite an eyesore because that person always insult people in extremely bad ways.
that person seem to me is just an egoistic person with bad anger management, it's relatively ironic whenever that person scolding another dude being egoistic or uneducated
On-Topic: I enjoy the announcement of Lumia 1020, there are some pros and cons compared to Nokia 808

I might be getting one, preferably white colour, perfectly showing off the hump lololol

i noticed the yellow this time seems to be matte =D

imo,
black looks professional
yellow looks youthful
white looks pure

=happy.gif=
*
I would prefer Yellow and White. biggrin.gif
But phone is always prone to scratches, black seems to be a good option to hide those scratches. hmm.gif
But personally I don't think it matters because end of the day I'll probably get a casing protector and cover the color. laugh.gif

Let's not resort to personal attacks and continue with the discussion about the phone. If you're feeling offended, don't. Just buy the phone and enjoy the beauty of it. You spend your hard earned money the way you like. It's a win-win situation. smile.gif

Come here and it'll probably cost RM2199.  doh.gif

Not surprising.
Lumia 920 was priced relatively at RM 1,999 when it launched last year.

Sept or Oct not too bad. The reviews would have come and dissected everything about the 1020 and best is that we can read about the first 3 month user issues / break-in period and then decide if it's worthy.

Day 1 price will always be very high and gradually drop in a few months of time if you can wait.

Some people out there doesn't want to be early adopters so if it's worth the wait then so be it!  laugh.gif
*
Want to wait till when? Now Nokia Malaysia keep quiet about 925.
Even Singapore only start launching 925.

Long way to go for 1020. laugh.gif

Anyway FYI for facebook sharing, 13mp BSI Exmor Sony in the Xperia/Lenovo/IP5S is good enough. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(arbelnox @ Jul 16 2013, 11:54 AM)
yeah, but what I really like is the ability to crop any picture at high resolution after the photo is taken. So no need to keep adjusting and zooming here and there just to find the perfect size on the spot. haha...
Hope that Pelican tech is upgrade-able via software updates and this will make L1020 the perfect camera phone.
*
I still think that the JPEG processing algorithm in the 1020 is not refined enough to compare head on head with the PV 808. Hopefully with future updates they'll rectify it.

I believe this came from a fan, not directly from Nokia .... I could be wrong but it's a hell of a phone. I'm getting one if it's under 3k  biggrin.gif
*
3k is a bit expensive for a Windows Phone. I'll rather buy a dedicated camera and a spare android phone for that.
Make it 2k, or 1.8k. Now that's tempting. tongue.gif

A new video by Nokia on how the 1020 works and as well as folks who wants to know:

- how light travels
- how digital sensor works
- how it will be shown on the screen
- how OIS works

105 seconds of video, tough work!

Simple and easy to understand. Thumbs up to Nokia team. rclxms.gif

Probably Digi?
Maxis focus too much on iPhone and Samsung.
Celcom also on iPhone.

Marketing epic failed...why call it 1020?? Will forever be known as the 'almost FullHD phone'.....coz not yet reach 1080!!! tongue.gif
*
Probably a test bed. Next they release 1080, Full HD with 808's sensor + 6 7 elements and OIS. laugh.gif

Is it possible to change the aspect ratio of photos?
I don't really like 16:9 photos. Too wide. sweat.gif
