I just sent mine few months ago, around 1 hour to get the job done. Quicker than what I expected, the crowd wasn't really huge though that time.

50D user here, but rarely take video, i still stick to 50D as video not an important add-on for my camera

I don't think sensor cleaning is included under warranty services.

I feel the sengetness can be felt because the picture is not symmetrical. See the road leading up to the mansion, if you shot from the middle of the road, maybe it won't feel senget.

The article says its done by Magic Lantern.  A third party (hack) software for Canon cameras.  Its like changing the operating system and unlocking more features to make the camera more capable.

Of course, since the 50D did not include video capability, it provides no audio recording or input port. You'll need an external setup to record sound. Users attracted by the low cost of a used 50D must also take into account that recording video requires very fast CF cards, which are themselves expensive.
