Hi guys. I am a bit blur in something. Anyway I just went for the first day (registration day) because of some transportation issue in family.
1. The subject registration. I am a new student in MMU and applying for Bachelor of EE majoring in Computer, just curious which subject/course should I register for? Because I tried to log in the 'Subject Registration' page and there are like a huge amount of courses for you, I just wonder which should I register for.
2. The library's membership registration. I have read some posts and seem that we need to register for the library's membership? How it is done? We should go to the library by ourselves, get a form and submit the form? or it is done in the days of orientation?
3. PTPTN, the is a booklet came with the offer letter, so the application of PTPTN should be done by us within next month? Because the due date for the application is the end of June 2013, and this just make me curious what is the purpose for the "Hari Bersama PTPTN' (Something like this?), it is just a day for us to submit everything (Documents etc) which we have prepared?

QUOTE(Human Nature @ May 29 2013, 12:20 PM) I believe you missed this session: http://bulletin.mmu.edu.my/v3/view/bulleti...3E(FOE)%3C/i%3EList of subjects offered by FOE: http://bulletin.mmu.edu.my/v3/view/bulleti...3E(FOE)%3C/i%3ELibrary: refer to the counter at library, not urgent. PTPTN: Yes, basically Hari Bersama PTPTN is for you to submit the docs, get their signature, ask questions etc. Keep a lookout for the annoucement at bulletin board, or refer to Admission & Bursary unit for further info. i think this http://bulletin.mmu.edu.my/v3/view/bulleti...3E(FOE)%3C/i%3E is only for foundation. I am applying Degree.

Hi guys, so i just knew that we have to take moral studies and malaysian studies in mmu, i am fine with it. However, i heard from friend saying that now mmu make the results you get from these two subjects to affect your GPA, i am pretty shocked to hear this and really doubt it, how could they do this?
Anyone can give a prove on this?

QUOTE(nymerine @ Jun 7 2013, 06:48 AM) Its only Pass/Fail subject, nothing to worries about. Yep, as i know it is a pass or fail subject all the while, but my friend said mmu had changed the system and it affects GPA now, i doubt and thats why i enquire here. Thank for the info anyway.

Hi guys. Some questions that i wanna enquire here.
1. MMU's coco. We just have to join one coco for one trimester,in the entire 4 years university life at MMU ritez? Besides that, we can choose to join in any trimester we want, am i true?
2. Heard people around discussing which is more easier to score and which isn't, what is meant by "EASIER TO SCORE"? what the score for?
3. Does the coco affects our testimonial or something?
4. Scholarship, as i know there is a merit scholarship offered, the information is in the documents that came with offer letters. Okie, now, the result which i used for application is not really good, not qualified for the scholarship, so can i still apply the scholarship if i get good result in mmu later?

QUOTE(Rhadykall @ Jun 13 2013, 01:46 PM) 1-3: Co-curiculum is counted in your CGPA actually. So it is important to choose a co-curiculum course that you're pretty sure you can score A. An A for a 2 credit hour co-curiculum course is like a bonus mark in a test. 4: There are scholarships which you can apply using your first trimester/year varsity result, which you can look around to find. Whether or not they will put into consideration your academic record prior to entering university depends on who's giving out those scholarships. Although if your result in MMU is good enough to make them turn a blind eye on your past ones, it will surely help your cause. Anyway, just apply for a couple. It doesn't hurt to try. One definite thing; you definitely won't get a scholarship if you sit around doing nothing. Good luck with the application(s). QUOTE(smile93 @ Jun 13 2013, 02:16 PM) Easier to score means easier to get better result. Coco is consider a normal subject that will contribute to your GPA or CGPA count. I'm a new student anyway, as i know, we dont have to join the coco immediately from the first trimester, i can choose to join in any trimester in my 4 years,is it? And the coco is just taking 1 trimester, we just have to join one time and dont have to join anymore by then, ritez? This post has been edited by alvin11: Jun 13 2013, 06:06 PM

QUOTE(Rhadykall @ Jun 13 2013, 06:12 PM) As long as they are offered, you may take them in whichever trimester you prefer. And yes, you only have to take it once, provided you don't fail it of course. K then, surely not this trimester, i am new here and have a lot of issues to deal with, ptptn etc, btw, thank for the info.
