I don't know which multimedia course (degree)  should I take at MMU, last time studied dip in multimedia application at KLMU…

It is time for you to discover more about your self tongue.gif I personally change my degree course for 3 times but I'm not recommending people to do this way (waste time and money).

May I know for FYP, is it every lecturer must have title to be distributed to student during FYP registration??Because I wanted to consult many lecturers for the title before the FYP registration date and I have no idea whether I could find every lecturers or not
*
I proposed my FYP title. But almost every lecturer should have FYP titles for the students. HumanNature should know more of this (why suddenly he's missing)

1-4 credit hours? So you have to take around 80 subjects to graduate?lol, sorry if I'm asking stupid questions I just don't really understand the concept of credit hours that well. Do you remember how much are the fees(including examination and miscellaneous fees, and maybe accommodation as well)? The website says that the tuition fees is around rm 46,200*. I don't think the fees include the examination fees and miscellaneous fees. Do you think it's possible to work in the US, singapore or australia pr anywhere else in the as a fresh graduate with a mmu degree? Are there any differences between employability between mmu and monash graduates? Will employers prefer either degree or rather how you perform during the interview? Is the starting pay standard ?(as in, which university you've graduated from wont make any difference in terms of starting pay and how employers view you)

Refer here, download the programme structure

The fees are as stated on the course structure, as for accommodation depends where you stay (hostel or rent apartment/room etc, I don't stay in the hostel so I don't know the price.)

Do you think it's possible to work in the US, singapore or australia pr anywhere else in the as a fresh graduate with a mmu degree?
It is possible, but the chances are higher if you do your degree at designated country. Of course your English communication is important for this.

Are there any differences between employability between mmu and monash graduates?
Statistically? Both should have approximately the same as both are tier-5 uni. But again even if the university had 10% employment rate I don't think you have a problem to get into the 10% if you do well. The differences are the environment that builds your character.

Will employers prefer either degree or rather how you perform during the interview?
It doesn't add up. Of course employer would prefer if you have higher qualification. Having higher qualification open the door for bigger prospect and to have a better start. How you perform in the interview is important to get higher chances for a better offer after they see your degree and cgpa.

Is the starting pay standard ?(as in, which university you've graduated from wont make any difference in terms of starting pay and how employers view you)
Companies usually follow the market trend and field of study. A friend of mine had a Master degree in Architecture from Melbourne University and had his starting salary 3.5k here WITH 3 years working experience, another from UK (forgot which university) with degree in Sales & Marketing started off with just RM2,XXX. While a close friend of mine done his Master in Computer Science at NTU Singapore started off with RM 3,200 (though he had offer for RM4,000 from Intel, the same amount of salary offered from Intel to my friend who did his Master in Computer Science in MMU). So I would say that the only advantages you got by studying oversea is that it changes your character and experience as how it changed me during my time in Australia, better attention for the employer to call you for job interview, and of course better chance to work in the particular country.

Is it necessary to get masters in computer science if you're gonna do bsc in comp sci?
*
This is a matter of personal preference. Normally if you want to be an academician such as lecturers, you will need to have a master degree. However many would do master degree just to get a higher start-up salary and better chances to get a job. Like me since I have a pretty good start and I chose to be software application developer so I don't feel that master in computer science is necessary unless I'm doing research and development to develop a new technology for the company, where the company that I work with would normally sponsor for the cost. In words it is optional, and it depends what you want to be.

I heard that the management in mmu now is a little bit out of hand, is it true? How did your friend manage to get an internship in a company in Korea? Did he apply online? What degree did he study?

Everywhere has management issue in some area, nothing is perfect. Be it Monash Australia, LimKokWing and MMU as I've went to these campuses has some issues. In terms of the best management it is hard for me to say.

How did your friend manage to get an internship in a company in Korea? Did he apply online?
MMU Student Exchange Programme

What degree did he study?
All that I know who went were from Software Engineering & Computer Science

Did he get a full time permanent job in the company after? Can I just bring my original result slips to mmu and apply using that without bringing a certified copy? Can mmu certify those documents for me? If not, where can I certify those documents?
*
I think these questions you should ask when you are graduating, not now. But anyway:

Did he get a full time permanent job in the company after?
For almost every company, if you are new there no matter you had experience or fresh graduate will impose 3~6 months probation period to decide whether they want to take you as permanent staff or not. Your CGPA and Degree has nothing to do with it as it rendered next to useless after your first job.

Can I just bring my original result slips to mmu and apply using that without bringing a certified copy?
You need a letter of confirmation from MMU that they will issue to every graduated students. From all my experience in job interviews once they called you, they don't care about your result but rather, have on-the-spot test that you need to apply everything you learnt. The reason is to measure your actual knowledge. Also, psychology test to see your character is fit for the company or not.

Can mmu certify those documents for me? If not, where can I certify those documents?
Yes they can, as every university should have no reason not to. You need to certify at the university it self by visiting to the office.

Well that is pretty much what you need to know and what to expect, I wont be around here forever but what I can say is, first-class or second during your studies are only to increase your chances to have a good start at work. Once you get a job then it worth next to nothing but to inspire your kids. I leave the rest for you to look-up in the internet. If you're good then in terms of employability is never a problem. If you're not then even from high-ranked institute also wont get you any job despite the rate.

Lol I think you've misunderstood my question. What my question meant was, can I certify my pre-u(a levels, for instance) results and other results at mmu when I want to apply for degree at mmu?
*
oh sorry, my bad, yes you can. I had many friends who use their A-levels to apply. Get it certified by your A-levels institution is a must.

So I have to go back to the institution where I took my a levels to certify it? Can I just bring my original results slip and ask mmu to certify it for me?
*
It's a must to get it certified from your A-levels institution as MMU needs to know it is valid. Original transcript by right should already have it certified.

So it's okay to bring my original results slips? How about IC? Can I just bring my original IC and photostated one and they certify it for me?(so I don't have to go to another place to certify it)
