so you won't have to cover the full rent，

are there any nearby mosque around campus ? muslim student here . how long is the walk ?

there is a mosque inside the campus even outsiders living around MMU come here for friday prayers

Not for mmu,
This is private university..no curfew
Even the one's living in-campus hostel are free to go out-in anytime,
Just that after 12am, need to write name and plate number at the guard post at the entrance

hi there thanks for the info, but for freshie new to MMU where do u recommend to stay the hostel on campus or outside apartments. bcoz the price is ok i c not a big difference.(correct me if im wrong here)

Security in EP is wee bit longgar, I'm not even EP resident but I usually go there to my friend's house, sleep etc
And yeah, EP is little bit less freedom because of "cannot bising bising", Ixora otherwise.. no one bothers.

Only pay for fixed amount

Just stay at the nearest place, see if the place suits you or not.

Chill! the only punishment OC would give would be singing permata dunia and doing some warm up exercise if you are caught wearing jeans and slippers during the morning spot check, colored hair will depend on the enforcement of security this year (on discretion).

My advice is to buy more black long pants cause during orientation as they will conduct games and activity that may require you to move about and sit on the floor. Padini and Jusco Selection sell cheap apparels.

Ladies try not to wear high heels as a lot of walking around will be done during the orientation or unless you want to plow the MMU main field then have fun doing so, short heels or shoes would be the best.

i am attaching here the FAMOUS MMU DRESSCODE policy (http://vlib.mmu.edu.my/library/dress_code.php), those seniors prior to 2010 enjoyed the privilege to wear slipper and shorts to class and library but not anymore starting from 2011 MMU DRESSCODE policy has been enforced.

During Registration you will be guided to collect your student ID, Letter offer and one special bag from the Orientation Kit Unit (OKU) that contains the orientation schedule, mmu rules and regulation booklet, mmu course outline, if you are lucky this year you get to own a blue mmu jersey, mmu batik, notepad and pen that will come with your special bag in either blue,red,green or orange color.

Yes dear you are going to study in a Higher Education Tertiary so Stationary & Notebook will be required, and since MMU is a Technological advance university that offers online notes which requires you to print (please bring printer with extra ink refill) and bring the notes to class, DO NOT BRING YOUR IPAD around as some lecturer do not like you playing with your IPAD in class.

Students are to bring extra food, clothing, movies, dvd, computers, printers, pillow, bolster, bed sheet, mattress, toiletries, stationary, deodorant, perfume, make up, shoes, heels and most important is money for food, shopping and entertainment purposes that your OC will explain.

I am worried about your level of writing and speaking in English, law lecturers are very strict as teachings and exams are all conducted in English.

note : Buaya OC and Buaya Freshie are always around during orientation.
