Thanks for your advise. KPJ doc advised to take injection. If still couldn't recover, then only go to operation. Anyway, I have taken injection yesterday & hopefully can recover soon.

I managed to get mine fixed by massaging with deep heat everyday. My thumb got locked during PKP last year when I was doing a lot of gardening and cutting many branches with my shears.

The first month, I didn't do anything hoping it will fix itself. My thumb was useless and hurting a lot. Cannot tie shoelaces, grip the doorknob, or even hold a toothbrush.

I didn't want to go to the hospital as I was afraid of contracting Covid there.

Finally, I searched online and on youtube. I discovered it was called trigger finger and in one of the videos they suggested massaging so I started to massage my hand everyday with deep heat. After a while I found the spot that would release my thumb but it would get locked again once the deep heat wore off.

I also started taking 1 tablet of aspirin (Cardiprin 100mg) every 3 days since it's a NSAID (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug). In Malaysia, I believe Cardiprin is used by heart attacks patients as it prevents blood clots.

Anyway, after about 1 month of massaging + aspirin every couple of days my thumb was finally free and it took another 2-3 months before I did anything strenuous with my thumb.
