Today I went to see Alpha Hand Surgery Centre in Kota Damansara, Doctor (Dr. Terrence) say surgery cost for 1 finger alone is 3k plus. I got 3 fingers need treatments. So total would be 9k ++, almost 10k !!! cry.gif

Should i do it? Doctor said my prudential insurance can claim, i don't have to pay anything.

Is it overpriced? Any cheaper yet good hand surgeon in the market?
Background story:
=========================================

I developed trigger finger after becoming farmer, used parang/cangkul a lot. my 3 fingers cannot bend, and i can't hold a proper fist. So i went to see Chiropractor, 3 months of treatment but don't see significant improvement. That's why i see the hand surgeon.

This is not life threatening illness and so far didn't really give me big problems in my farmer job. So instead of jump to this expensive surgery, i want to look for 2nd opinion.

Before becoming farmer, i'm a frequent gym goer. I pull up almost everyday. Now i can't even make a pull up without finger pain. bangwall.gif

The surgery seems tempting because doctor said once surgery is done, the problem will be fixed permanently and won't come back in future. Furthermore, insurance will cover the cost.

BUT! the cost almost 10k which reduce my insurance limit. What if something serious happen in future that need very high insurance claim?

So i'm hesitate.

My question is=> Is it overpriced? Any cheaper yet good hand surgeon in the market?

Appreciate if anyone done the surgery can share your experience. notworthy.gif

It is best to have a 2nd opinion.
