Ok so after several weeks of not switching off the pc, i have decided to switch it off last night. When i try to switch it on again this morning, nothing works, no lights on the pc but the only light that lights up is the mouse. The power button does not give any respond at all.

Anyone knows why?

most likely your power supply/motherboard capacitor has leakage, try to off the main power on the wall & wait for 10min/30min/1hour then try on power again to see if it boots.

Same thing, it does not boot up.

Thought that it was the power button's fault. How do i boot it up if the power button is faulty?

you can do this, but the method is only short the wire 'once' and not stick them together.

but, before you do that, try this simple method 1st...;
unplug ur computer cord from power outlet (no power connected at all) and left it for a few hours. later plug power cord again and try switch On normally.

see how.

Got it to work again. It's just dust. I tried all what u guys had mentioned except the jumpstart with two wires. I did tried to jump start the power button but fails.

Cleaned everything in the case nd it works.

Thanks guys!
