Review of my Forte SX after 9 months of using, clocked 21,000+KMs now (mostly the problems i'm having):

1)FC is so-so.. avg at 10l/100km.. but then, i drive 60%hway+40%city, i guess the FC is acceptable.

2)Still cannot use the free navi gps system- the signal is very weak.

The ciggy lighter/charger faulty, waiting for incoming service cycle to complaint

3)Alignment still abit off to the left (pull left issue) not rectified by sc.

4)Worst of all, tyre starts to shake badly whenever i turn the steering (hard cornering or even when i tap the steering lightly to the right!) to the right, even at lower speed. Feel like will tercabut..Ady sent to sc (alor star-mergong). They change the absorber, problem dissapeared for a week, then occurs again until now. Waiting for next svc to rectify this problem. From what i read on the net, possible cv joint faulty, but even when i tell sc abt this findings they insist on doing it one at a time- change the absorber 1st, then if still persist, they'll change the drive shaft, then so-on..follow thier protocol i guess..

Anyway, other than that, its a great car to drive. some ppl said 1.6 is underpowered, but for me i dont think that's an issue if u know how to optimize the use of the paddle shifter. power is always there. of cos, my wife always complaint the car is very sluggish when climbing hill (karak), but then i taught her to use the paddlers, problem solved.. she now like to rempit also.. haha.. wink.gif

My FC is ard 9L/100km. 50% h/way, 50% city. I guess it's down to how hard we step on the accelerator.  brows.gif I'm driving 1.6 as well. agree with you that underpower is not an issue.

As for problems, I had problem with the accelerator during the 1st week due to fuse problem with the brakes. Had it fixed, no problem at all till now.  thumbup.gif

Agree, FC reflects by the way u drive.. Steeping the accelerator is one thing, keep downshift (or is it upshift?) the gear is another. On the highway, I mostly use the paddlers since its easy to maintain speed, overtake, hill climbing etc. but during city drive, i use auto.
btw, how long have u been using ur ride? hope u'll drive free from any problems.. thumbup.gif
i started to think that mine might be an isolated case since i cannot find anyone with the same problem as mine (the shaky whell issue).. sweat.gif

Why not u just give the sc a call to make an appointment? Isn't that simple and efficient?
That's great, it's 2013 stock
