QUOTE(lingleeyen @ Jul 5 2013, 10:05 AM) Belum tukar. Have not make up my mind yet. A friend is swearing by Assy 2 as in if the Assy 2 fail me he will jump off from KLCC. Bro Iz says MC5 is good for normal drive. I do think that my driving style is similar to Bro Iz. I do not have enough tyre experience. Maybe I just need the leap of faith? So I am in dilemma. Of course price is also an issue. Bro jeschong has gave me a contact. Suppose to be good price, but the quoted PS3 is 470 per piece including balancing allignment. So even if the trade in price for 4 tryes is 150 each, it will not really make any difference. I was quoted 440 else where. Does jeschong's contact sell GY Asy2? Whereabouts is the seller's location? Thanks! |

QUOTE(lingleeyen @ Jul 5 2013, 02:10 PM) Teoh Brothers in Bayu, Klang, near Bukit Tinggi. Boss is a nice chap and the service he is giving makes me want to pay him. Ketuk rims means they fix your rims for you?440 for each tyre before trade in. Balancing, allignment included. The steel valve tube is sold separately at rm 10. Ketuk rim is 35 if they do themselves. Send to factory is 60 per piece. Lets go beramai-ramai so we can tekan him more. 3 sets of tyre all at once, I think we can get a better price. I cannot say why I don't go for other brand. I really can't. The price sounds good. Is it for 215/45/17? *Edited question on tube valve. Googled it. It's the valve that is for inflating/deflating the tires right? I am interested to join, but I don't own a Forte. I'm in the midst of getting a 1.6 Cerato. I plan to change the tires as soon as I get the car (to get the best trade-in price for the tires).440 for each tyre before trade in. Balancing, allignment included. The steel valve tube is sold separately at rm 10. Ketuk rim is 35 if they do themselves. Send to factory is 60 per piece. I'm getting the car from BuyDirect, so I'll need to travel from Serdang to Klang.... As of now, I don't know the date I'll get the car, so I can't commit to a date to go with you. Once I've the information, if you still haven't go, I will contact you again to go together and get a better price |

QUOTE(lingleeyen @ Jul 9 2013, 06:10 PM) Cerato is using the Nexen CP643A tires which I read from the K5 forum that it is not that good. Although K5 is using 18" rims.I was thinking to change straight away so that I don't lose out on the trade-in price much |

QUOTE(lingleeyen @ Jul 15 2013, 12:51 PM) Just some updates. Hi lingleeyen, do you mind telling me what is the treadwear for your Primacy 3ST? Thanks!I was in Teoh Brothers Bayu for tyres yesterday. New price is as below:- Assy 2 - 460 PS3 - 460 Primacy 3ST - 440 After a short consideration, I went for Primacy 3ST. Trade in for a set of 8k km tyre (4 pcs is 400). I asked them to take my spare tyre and swap with one of my old. That new spare tyre is 150. Therefore, total trade in is 450. The steel valve tube is 10 each hence total price is:- (440*4)+(10*4)-450 = RM1350 Tyre is real quiet. Sangat diam for now. The noise on uneven-ness, road gaps, road height elevation, small pot holes, concrete pavements and some yellow lines has decreased dramatically. I have not tried any of the performance as for now I am still on unker mode. Cannot really feel if there is a traction drop in comparison to AV7. I am happy with the quietness and the reduced level of harshness. I was there to do my allignments also. The front was off abit, adjusted. But the rear's reading is terrible as what I have mentioned above. So it got me so worried and I went to check the samething again in Lim Tyre in Shah Alam. Everything is good condition. Nothing wrong. All within spec. According to the people there, they calibrate the machine once a month and major calibration is every year by the machine supplier. So either Teoh Brother's machine is off, or I am self calming with the Lim Tyre's result. However, one true is that if you have an offset of 4 with your rear, you will see your tyre kangkang one side. I see nothing like that. Hence, I will settle with this result. Lets see what else happen in the future. |
