Anybody using SP which covers the whole front screen, with holes for home button and speaker grill only?  Mine currently has the ambient light and proximity sensor, and front camera exposed.

i personally used it before.

Pros : cover entire front panel, superb screen clarity (no rainbow effects)

Cons : Since it's only 2H hardness, even using your fingernails to poke the screen will cause a permanent indentation in the screen (believe me it's awful)

In my honest opinion, i don't think the curved crystal is worth it even though it covers the entire front panel, simply because the permanent indentations caused by fingernail is a real big annoyance to me.

I personally stopped using screen protectors for my phone since then. NAKED to me feels the best
So far no scratches on my screen whatsoever.

But if you REALLY insist on using a screen protector, go for those normal ones will do (they have higher 4H hardness level which doesnt get indented by fingernails).

Peel off? I'm not too sure about that.

For me, the problem that i had last time was hairline cracks that appeared all over the silver bezel of the phone.

Went to claim warranty 3 times for that problem, all 3 times successful.

The 3rd time i went to claim, main problem was there was hairline cracks all over the silver bezel, but i too had the silver bezel slightly peeled off on it's own. The engineer called me 2 days later and say that due to the peel off part, he assume that i dropped it on the floor before (which i never did). After explaining my entire experience to him, he was hesitant but in the end decided to replace it for me anyhow.

Anyhow, no harm trying

PS: It's been 2 weeks since the last time i got my phone back from warranty claim, right now i can see that the hairline cracks are starting to appear AGAIN

Someone’s Galaxy S3 explode while charging

    Last night at about 3:15am EST (about 1 hour after i plugged it in and went to sleep) I was awoken by a loud noise and a weird squeaking sound. (I charge my phone while I’m sleeping on my bed right next to me)

    So, I woke up, and saw a ton of smoke coming out of my phone — it also smelled REALLY bad. Half asleep, I jumped out of bed and turned the light on, only to see that my phone was just beginning to go on fire. I dumped a glass of water I had in the room on it to stop it from burning…then woke up my brother to come help. The smoke smelled so bad and wafted through the entire second floor of my house. I had a foam mattress pillow top that had a hole burned through it too–which we later threw out because it was still burning throughout. Also, some of the plastic on my phone was melting and kind of shooting out of it, and some landed on my pinky finger and burned some skin off (very small burn though).

    Does anyone have any suggestions what I should do? Call Verizon? Samsung? Have a lawyer call them? I’d also like to get some type of replacement phone in the meantime…

    ALSO: To answer many questions: EVERYTHING was stock/Samsung that I had received when I purchased my phone. Stock battery, charger, etc. Additionally, my phone was NOT rooted.

anyone of you here encountering the same problem here? my s3 when plugged into the pc it didn't detect anything. i have to go on my fon, change the usb connection to camera then back to media then only it shows up in my pc
i'm using the phone internal memory tho, no sd card..
