whats the most convenient way to get root + cwm recovery?

i want to be able to flash custom rom,
in first page, root method are cf root, exynos abuse, framaroot

cf auto root stated as recomended, but in xda thead chainfire says he not maintaining it anymore, and doesnt seem to have cwm recovery

exynos abuse method might cause camera issues.

the framaroot never mention about including custom recovery.

is there any universal kernel that once flash auto root and have cwm? in s2, siyah kernel is universal across stock rom version, and provide root+cwm. for s3 siyah is not a recomended method?

Thanks, CF root seems very easy to do. just use odin to flash.

for the cwm, you say flash using odin.

cant find the cwm in xda, is it directly go http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager
and download the .img for i9300?

odin can flash .img format? i thought only tar?
does the cwm recovery remains even if i change rom? i plan to use omega rom.

I maybe wrong but I think the phone (on stock firmware) will only accept max 1A. No matter if you use 1A or 2A charger. It still receiving 1A input.

Less than 1A charger is different story. If you use 0.5A or 0 75A charger...then it will charge slower as it take longer time with the lower output charger.

i have a very peculiar problem with this phone.

i cant change the lock screen wallpaper no matter what i do. its always stuck with the default omega one. i got so frustrated i flashed alliance rom.

but i cant change lockscreen wallpaper as well in alliance rom.

very happy with this rom. have some weird lockscreen wallpaper issues with omega and alliance rom previouly.

the default modem in the rom now is XXEMB5, change to DX model will be better?

Samsung Galaxy S4 - Active LOOK! much nicer & solid build than it origin S4.
This shall be the origin design than current one.



Especially the black one, just I can't find the actual photo of black yet.



I love the back pretty much, the build look solid, the texture look nicer. The front bottom 3 hard button look nice also.

In overall, it is much appealing than origin look of S4 for me !!!

it adds a significant amount of bulk and make it very very thick.
There's an interesting comment in youtube, he recomend using the phone with the bigger battery without the backplate straight into the case.


i personally dont think its worth the price and hassle. buy 2nd spare battery better.

now the app looks very similar to ios one.
those sender without face will have colored name initials as their pic.

The lte one have better battery, and probably better developer support. Since there is a google edition for it.
