Try looking for smaller companies that need IT ppl. Even in IT support or IT sales (like in lowyat shops) or other smaller business entities.
Basic pay would be Rm1600 to RM2000. It helps if u r conversant in english, both spoken and written. Be well read...
If u have some $$$, go buy yrself a spare PC or two, a cheap hub/switch, and go blow yrself nuts on it. Then try going door 2 door offering ppl for free PC checkup. This will give u some needed exposure and experience u can boast abt in an interview. (ie: freelance network consultant engineer) Remember to sell yrself well in yr resume AND during interview. be confident and use as much simple english as possible..no computer jargons as employers may be afraid you cant communicate will with the end users (eg troubleshoot and end user training)
