Kindle Fire 2013? Snapdragon 800? hmm.gif Well the price not be cheap too.
*
The previous Kindle Fire HD is priced competitively to compete against N7 and other low budget tabs. So likely, amazon would live up to its expectations.

Thanks for the reply guys. Not really keen to tether though. And also just realised have to think whether I'm willing to feed money to another number. biggrin.gif
*
To me tethering from phone is not very dependable, the phone may probably run out of juice when you need to make a call. On the other hand, setting up hotspot could be quite troubling if you do it all the time.

Flimsy excuses I  would say. I always thether with my Android phone with my only WiFi tablets.
*
Perhaps my argument is not plausible due to my lack of a data plan, as well as a tablet.
But I do find my smartphone's battery life un-dependable.
Perhaps it differs for your case wink.gif

dude... you are making a statement without any basis... you make an ideal candidate for some "common sense".

why do you comment that tethering is dependable nor is the process of setting up hotspot difficult when you do not do both at all?

hilarious

Yep, I guess I'm just too darn hilarious.

my less than 1 week review, after few years on the apple side . this is my first android tablet so still much to explore (root/cfw/cynogen/etc) :

+quite cheap for its spec
+its Nexus *updates and support is a sure fact*
+7' *pocket-able*
+camera is good enuf
+photosphere is best of the best. the stitch is quite good, the dynamic range is great!
+i like the screen feels without SP, dunno if gonna put one or not  laugh.gif
+bought my wireless charging Nexus Orb  biggrin.gif *probably buy another for car*
+NFC

- the touchscreen thingy - but i can live with it. hopefully can patch fix
- gps - still problem. but it was fine the day i bought. smooth
- wifi - cannot change dns *i know there's a way, not that important yet*
- bluetooth - cannot set other bt device as trusted so no need to authenticate everytime. need apps/root maybe
- still no case available *takut jatuh*  sweat.gif

still working my way into android, much to learn  cool2.gif
*
how's does the device feels like in your hand? the previous n7 feels rather sturdy with the leathery back.

Hi guys, I read that you can't make calls with nexus 7 2013, is that true?
*
yep, the new nexus 7 is not built to make calls, although it does have the chip to support it.

Just decided to "tembak" and enquire with Asus Malaysia via their FB. Messaged them. Asked about RRP of the LTE model, official availability in Malaysia and whether it supports both 1800 and 2600 LTE.

They only answered one question: RRP for LTE model is RM1299. They also mentioned RRP of another model for RM999. However, they did not specify 16GB or 32GB for that RM999 quote. In any event, kudos to them for fast response (within 2 hours).

Thanked them and repeated my questions again for my other two queries. See whether any reply or not...
*
Highly doubt it, I believe they are quoting you the price of 16/32gb variant without LTE.
Would expect the lte version to arrive at around 1600-1700.
only 2 cents worth
