looks delicious. anyone can suggest anywhere i can get nice mapo tofu in kl or pj area? but first and foremost, is it halal?

Try the authentic version one in China restaurants. They put those peppercorns inside which makes the local ones look like for kids only.

i've been googling around for mapo tofu around my area (damansara / pj) but mostly that i found are from non-halal restaurants. does anyone knows where can i find halal restaurant that serves mapo tofu around here? really feel like trying it icon_question.gif

Actually the real mapo tofu uses minced beef instead of pork and lard.
You can cook it yourself, all you need is minced beef, garlic, white tofu, some sichuan peppercorn and some chilli paste.

I usually cook myself and I dont usually order mapo tofu when I have dinner outside. Sorry bout that sweat.gif
