WoW trial only last like lvl 20, which i think its the most unattractive part in WoW.. I remember got so bored last time and complained how lame it was until i forced myself to max level then only to learn lvl 60 was the beginning of WoW.. Raids are strong point of WoW, nothing else in the world can beat it seriously.. And in fact those who complain how suck is WoW actually never been to raiding and felt the satisfaction of downing boss blablabla..

Anyway on a side note, I played RIFT. The leveling, questing are pretty boring. Everything are made simpler, quests are linear, and lack of main story line.. Hate it when you quests for the sake of moving down the map :/ Apart from graphics, WoW still wins hands down. I cant speak for raids yet though, however I believe it wont be as mechanic-heavy like WoW..
