You can predict the future right? Sir Alex Ferguson and some England managers who played him thinks he should play and who are you to say he wont be?

Seriously, wtf with this negativity in this thread??? It's not like we lost the EPL ffs, we won it. doh.gif You think Manchester United is a 2 man team? Liverpool legend (according to them) Gerrard cannot bring them to even top 4 finish we are that sucks? Other team that have many world class players like City or Chelsea, what happen to them? Doesn't mean we don't have enough possession our midfield THAT sucks, Giggsy still raping the fullbacks at his will and unlucky enough all our wingers are off form this season, and mind you, for most of the past seasons we won the tittle, we're playing with WINGERS. And SAF buying Kagawa is what? Kagawa is shit eh? doh.gif

Arsenal has Cazorla, Rosicky, Arteta, even Wilshere coming back from injury, that is weak? We won the tittle with I can say at ease at the end of the day is either us, having a MEDIOCRE team, won that shit that other WORLD CLASS players did not win, or the WORLD CLASS players did not step up like what they are touted for. Our team won it. Give credit where is due la bro.

SAF rarely gets it wrong.
They laughing at SAF when he chosen "kids" to play.
They'll of course laugh when he chosen "no european track record" manager to succeed him.

so what did "teams full of expensive world class players" win last season? hmm.gif

QUOTE(Seoliem @ Jul 15 2013, 06:33 PM)
Yeah to be honest other top team in EPL last season is under performing + we got SAF...this season they will get better as Man C finally woke up from dreamland and Chelsea hired Mou and Arsenal breaking the bank but Man Utd seems getting weaker by rumors top player leaving + transition period
I trust Moyes 100% as our manager but i didn't trust whoever handling the transfer negotiation...we miss out too much talent in recent years.
We need central midfielder badly to play alongside Carrick or to replace Carrick. If Carrick injured, we are doom. Still got a lot of time in transfer windows i guess so we'll wait and see with unlimited funds(really?) shouldn't be too much problem right?
*
no point just buying if the player doesn't fit into the club.

QUOTE(andrewtho @ Jul 16 2013, 09:44 AM)
And not to mention, we need a certain amount of homegrown players, league requirements. Thankfully, United has more than any other top clubs in the league smile.gif
Speaking of Fabregas, I don't see it possible. Barca losing Thiago, Villa and Cesc in one window? Impossible unless they sign another midfielder.
*
Barca do have starlets coming through but i don't think they want to depend on them yet.

Thiago? Impossible now.
Cesc? Even more unlikely now with Thiago gone. They could have sign him if Thiago saga not starting yet.

Or maybe... Thiago and Cesc are just the smoke created by Man Utd... they have others true target which they do not want anyone to know... surprise surprise... (Fellaini??!! aiyo...)

In my opinion Vidal would fit the team nicely. His style of play reminds me of Roy Keane... but highly unlikely he would join us.. Fabregas also unlikely, since Barca already let Thia....gooooooo... icon_question.gif
I would suspect maybe Moyes is looking for those up coming talents like the midfielder Torres.. and would probably buy Felliani to add numbers to the current midfield.. And probably try his best to sign Ronaldo (unlikely to happen) or Bale (even more so)... at the end of the day.. i think we are going to be very disappointed this transfer window... But the only shining light is Adnan.. i thought he was awesome.. his style of play is similar wilshere with a bit of flair.. but i dont think he would be able to perform consistently throughout the season.. also, so far, he has only performed againsts a Thailand select.. still to be seen if he can do it against the top guys in PL or Europe.. but i have high hopes for this guy.. really exciting.. hopefully they tie him down to a long term contact and don't let something similar which happened to Pogba happen ever again..

Vidal, Khedira I think is the closest a player which is similar to Fletcher and

Hargreaves. If anything, we need players that would love to do the dirty work and

let flair players like Cleverley, Kagawa and Anderson to do their job with the

movements and passing. Not only do the dirty work but capable of doing other

stuff too and high in stamina.

yeah...i think so...like keano...he seem like a hardman...tough tackling...but according to most player that play alongside him...he offer so much more than that...his passing...his presence...his influence...his box to box run...workrate...always make himself available to offer...protecting the back 4...SAF sign him cos of his energy n stamina...i think afroman can fill the task...even he is not in a similar mould...but i think he will make the job done...

but i remember not everyone here into this kind of player...for them he is old school...old fashion tackling hardman winning ball...risky for cards n injury...etc...now is not hardman midfield anymore...its not rugby...they said...i agree...but this type of player...always committed to a challenge...not nasty, blindly, stupid, intentionally, dangerous...but accumulative, timing, strong, presence felt, honest, sporting spirit,competitive...inspired team mate n make the opponent beware...come...lets hav a go with me...its contact sport btw...u not gonna hav ur way...i'll be here all day...come at me...

inb4...if cesc do come...i think he will stay for good...he has taste verything in barca under pep n tito...nothing else to win there...he sure luv BPL...adept to it since arsenal days...sure he want to be BPL champion...ahahaha...muppet me...

Thiago was foolish to choose Bayern Munich over United? No Sir. Here are the reasons he was not:

1. They've got Pep who knows Thiago's game inside out. Obviously it will be good for his development.
2. Munich play a style of football similar to Barcelona's. United are as far off from that style as a top team can be - they made about 60 fewer short passes PER game than Arsenal, and were 5th highest in the division behind Arsenal, City, Swansea and Liverpool. Considering Thiago wants to get into the Spanish national team, he needs a place that will allow him to play similar, classy football.
3. Bayern Munich already boast a strong midfield. That's not great help for his plan of playing frequently, but imagine how much he will develop. The guy's priorities are in the right place. Winning a regular berth at Munich (and Pep will give him chances) will definitely be a bigger sign of competence than playing regularly at United.
4. Bayern Munich won the Champions League. Comprehensively. And they are getting even stronger.
5. Pep >>>> Moyes

No 3, maybe because our playstyle is more direct, not build up play nod.gif

IMHO...yes we play is more direct...but moyes sure luv spanish essence in arteta didnt he...thats why thiago n cesc rumours link with us... for me he do luv to add build up play to his tactics...it work wonder at everton...and point no 2 show that we play fewer passes in 5th rank that cut our creative player to express more...u can express urself more with the ball n display ur creativity with the ball...that why we need to keep it n play...and win it back as early in the front line...but we do hav variety in our winger...our forward...our used-to lightning pace counter attack...maybe we lack of that quality that moyes wanna add n develop...if u see the thailand training clip...i see them doing 1-2 passes n bombarding into box...brilliant i can say...i luv it...can wait for it to be express in big stage OLD TRAFFORD...yummehhh...jiz my 2"...

to be honest, DM is successful. look at everton. with that crappy budget he managed to be in the top flight competing for CL place.

Just because he didn't win any trophies doesnt mean he's more inferior. Opportunities come and he will prove himself.

I don't know, just get some blardy midfielders already tongue.gif anyone on the list will do.

United controls the game at times when the opponents are hunting for a winning/equalizer, you'll see them passing around the middle and back, most importantly, dictating the tempo. Unlike Barca where you'll find 9707900767 passes before it reaches Messi, but when your opponent counters that style, just like what BM did in the CL, Barca were a lost cause. 7-0 on aggregate, fancy that?

I agree. If we indeed go for players like McCarthy, better just stick with current crop of midfielders. I think it is important for United to improve the midfield in

order to proper challenge especially in CL, after having seen BM already made their move by improving their already very strong squad overall and not just their

midfield. United really need players that really good at regaining and retaining possesions and let flair players like the Nanis and Kagawas do their jobs effectively.

I know that United won the league without "proper" midfield by miles and "almost" got pass Real in CL, but I would think United really rode their luck too much

sometimes. sweat.gif

Totally agree with you.

After watching every Utd games last season, I'm not convince with United current squad although they won the league title last season. If you guys notice, most Utd wins could go either way which is really make me worried. I personally think that Utd can't continue play like that next season, we rode our luck too much.

I really thought Utd would make big signing early especially in the midfield. So far, it's really disappointing summer for Utd fans.
