No. You can perform the same "freeze" function by using the App Manager and "Disable" an app. You can re-enable anytime. These Disabled apps are right at the bottom of your App list.

yes, it will be not active till you enable it again. you will notice too that apps will not be available at apps drawer

You search at play store for google music and google glass? Both are not available there. Google music are preinstalled in some firmwares. For google glass, there only mod apk that people can try on their phone. But not all phone are working properly
