But its 1.7ghz, dual core. While s3 was quad core 1.4ghz only.

Ghz is more important or core is more important ?

s3mini is

so got dual core la... sweat.gif
note 2 400mhz x 4 = 1.6Ghz la.. laugh.gif

Krait and Exynos are slightly different architectures. Krait is a little better in some things, so raw MHz doesn't tell you the whole picture.

It's a little hard to explain, coz architectural improvements can mean same MHz but very different performance.

How can you make statements like that? That's totally wrong.

Multi core CPUs have cores each that can go up to the max rated frequency. Ie each core can go from 100-200MHz to the max speed.

And you don't count by multiplying the frequencies.

QUOTE(limyuyang @ May 23 2013, 05:12 PM)
Still confuse...but never mind, its not important.  rclxub.gif

Now I understand liao.......that means jakgelap was wrong just now.
Now I understand.

Dance like a crazy people.

Multicore CPUs need properly written programs (called multithreaded) to reach max effectiveness. Then the architecture of the CPU also impacts performance.

The Krait family is an A9+A15 hybrid, while the Exynos 4xxx family are pure A9 with some tweaks. At any given same speed, the Krait will outperform the Exynos.

Only because Exynos has more cores helps it improve in some benchmarks due to properly executing tasks on all 4 cores. A 4 core Krait S200, S300 will beat a 4 core Exynos 4xxx CPU of the same frequency.

GPU architecture also plays a factor, and that's a whole different story altogether.

I could be mistaken in some of these areas since it's all moving so fast, but you can all verify these by reading the spec sheets and reviews from all over.

Lol.. Big jokes that TS post the comments like that.. Hmm..

Smartphone, but does it really a smartphone in real life? Self know..

Any phone that can run Android is already a smartphone since it is a full fledged computing platform. The differentiator is the speed, RAM, screen size/pixels, and the rest are just accessories.

You have to think of an Android phone as a COMPUTER first, which has phone and accessory functions.

I also suggest Orange Backup for rooted phones. Just tried it, you can do everything from within Android instead of booting to recovery. Pretty cool. Even allows you to send it to your cloud storage.

Does the backup compatible with recovery mode restore backup or must use orange backup to restore?

It creates either TWRP or CWM compatible backups. You can use the recovery to restore. thumbup.gif

Haven;t tried that, but if it is a standard nandroid, TiBu should be able to read it.

Aiseh bro, rooting or not is simply a switch in the software. Nothing will change after rooting. All it does is unlock all the doors for you.

Corrupted download when flashed will usually cause bootloop. Use some md5 checking program like hashtab.

Oh yeah....I forgot about waterproof pouch. Thanks for reminding it.
I don't need power bank, there's some plug, so I just need to bring my charger.

EVERYBODY will be thinking the same thing, and you will be fighting for plugs. Bring a multi-plug adapter and a powebank.
