based on this site, xperia zr expected to launched at dutch with RRP €479..if we using google currency and change to RM, its close to RM1800++..well, its RRP, i expect less than that when arrive at here..biggrin.gif

From what I see since Z, Sony Malaysia has always been selling cheaper than her European / Singaporean / Australian / etc counterpart. So I think if Sony Dutch sells around RM1800, it could be cheaper here, e.g. RM1699

If the price 1699, i think better get XZL. Now ZL drop to rm1578. Just my opinion

You are actually comparing apple to orange. I was talking about RRP, although I didn't state it in my last post, I thought it is quite understood since I was replying to a post about RRP. If you want to compare apple to apple, you should be comparing shop price to shop price, not RRP to shop price. Now since you're comparing RRP to a shop price, I'm not sure how much you understand about RRP vs shop price.

The RRP for Z is RM2199, shop price is RM1899
The RRP for ZL is RM1899, shop price is RM1599

So if you want to compare Z vs ZL price, should it be RM2199(RRP price) vs RM1599 (shop price),
or should you be comparing RM1899 (shop price) vs RM1599 (shop price) ?

By the way, just a little bit extra information. If you go to a random real physical shop (not the one you know is selling online at Lowyat Forum), I think chances are you will still get RM1899 for ZL.

another xperia rumored... the Xperia UL... looks like (again) same spec with Z, only differences are XUL with IP58 rating, camera button and removable battery.

Now we are talking about too many models with similar spec!

where is the source? drool.gif

That's not rumour, it's been announced since 19th May, exclusively for KDDi carrier in Japan only. No words on international version.

problem? both are the SAME things in terms of hardware, if you are destined to be unlucky, no matter ORI or AP, its still the same

he's talking about comparing two different models.

I asked about the 4.2.2 update for ZR in the sonymobile support forum.

The moderator said he cannot tell me the answer and ZR is not yet released.

Then I think to myself, but even 3 months before Z and ZL were released, we were already being told about the 4.2.2 update. So I don't feel good about it because why would they want to hide a good news.

yeah... maybe sony MY wants to maintain the premium and flagship status of XZ and do not want any other model to compete with XZ.

no LTE is a no go for me now. guess my next target will be honami now.

Since Sony Malaysia had brought in LTE versions of Xperia V, Z, ZL and SP, there's no reason they won't bring in LTE version of Xperia ZR.
