I guess it could be around RM 1,599 to RM 1,699. If more than that, it is over price already since it is only HD screen not FHD, even though ZR got water resistance and is IP58 than IP57.

I am interesting getting one for my sister if price right in between RM 1,599 to RM 1,699

Xperia Z already is OptiContrast panel.

Winner part of ZR is IP58 rather than IP57 and camera shutter button but it loose out in screen resolution & thickness, ZR cannot be too expensive or similar price with Z.

This time is IP58 certified, so it is waterproof level already.

They only put can more than 30 mins and more than 1.5 meter.

That is Sony previous firmware issue for xperia Z.

Latest firmware which release few days ago - v10.1.1.A.1.253 had completely fixed the display issue.

Actually Z is my first Sony android phone, I am suprise Sony did big different in updates and Sony actually listening to consumer.

.253 improve the viewing angle. Actually I already know Sony can tune this as during .434 ROM, I already notice viewing angle is much better when viewing photo/video at Album. The color punch up in BE2 is better the viewing.

Now Sony fixed at .253, which eventually getting better view a lot as it not only vibrant it, it also with correct white balance, better contrast level as well.

Ya, I buy Xperia Z as I seen Xperia V display before but Xperia Z let me down, it is a bit washed out and too dull, less contrast and etc.

But after updates of latest .253 firmware, I am pretty sure Xperia Z display now is equal / better than Xperia V. Everything is in correct way now, much vividness, better contrast, deep black, much sharpen and perfect white balance.

It is too obvious where everyone that had update it will notice it.

If you not believe this, you can go XDA forum, everyone talk about it.

Or go find two units of Xperia Z, one with .434 firmware, another with .253 firmware, and you will seen the different. v.253 is latest firmware instead of .434, all this confusing is due to it is actually 10.1.A.1.434 v/s 10.1.1.A.1.253

I believe Z viewing angle is same standard as V just Sony did it wrongly in white balance tune, contrast adjust and color vividness control when launching.

.253 is official long long ago for Z and ZL. Some user even received .307 and I am running leak .407 base on 4.2.2 now.

Edit: After seen this photo from net where the person snap from Celcom store, seems Malaysia ZR is LTE model.

The problem Sony Malaysia site never update with model number, but do never mention have LTE. But if Celcom give wrong information, I believe plenty will shoot Celcom.

Tomorrow I go shopping mall check check see got any real information about it or not.

I ask my area Sony center, he told me is LTE.

But no demo set to play also and brochure do show no LTE.

Anyway got or not, not important already as my friend not intend to get it anymore as he cannot accept front camera only VGA. Ops!
