Waze works wonder, highly recommended thumbup.gif . but you must have active data to work with it, it can also redirect you to a route with less jam/traffic

Those are called offline navigation applications where the map is preloaded in your SD card at takes up lots of space.

Waze however its like Google maps, it is dynamic and it changes due to road closures, detours and floods. The data it uses is pretty minimal, it won't go over 30MB for 12 hours of continuous usage.

I have the same dock (in fact, I have 3 docks, all the same model). The blue LED is to indicate if the dock is receiving power from USB or not. That's all. It doesn't indicate charging. To know if the phone is fully charged or not, have to check on the phone itself. If you slot a 2nd battery into the battery charging port at the back, then there will be another red LED light (next to the blue LED) that will light up, indicating that the dock is charging the spare battery. Once that battery is fully charged, the red LED will go off. The dock is capable of charging both the phone and the spare battery at the same time.

After I upgraded to 4.3, I noticed that my SMS app is sometimes lagging and I will need to force close it. But everything else is very good. Just this damn sms app.... haish.... can never have everything working perfectly.  sweat.gif

Finally got my phone back from warranty and i can answer your question. The screen will rotate to landscape mode after inserting to dock. Just that the lock screen will not rotate only. Do not use china/brandless charger for the dock also, will cause the phone screen to go crazy

waze bought over by google so there is some sharing of traffic info between the 2.

i use separate garmin gps with malfreemaps for best routing accuracy. on phone, google maps followed by waze (thats just my experience and will differ from others for sure).

google maps and waze both got live traffic and are quite accurate. both will offer alternate routes based on traffic conditions. waze reports better especially for minor roads.

for searching places, google maps is amazing due to flexibility of google search.

fyi gmaps version 6 is better than the current one so i set my apps to manually update to avoid gmaps auto update to latest version.

for papago, will it occupy a large memory? since ZR can move apps to SD. My phone already warned me that internal memory already 75% full.

papago use offline map, so it won't use mobile data. even if mobile data is on, papago only use it if A-GPS is enabled, and the amount of data needed for A-GPS is so small, maybe 10 sen per GPS lock.

Hi. Mine also just got my zr 2 day ago. I noticed the WiFi connection not very good and hard to get lock. Sometimes connected but cannot access to internet. Very weird.
