Yup 2nd night putting my phone in a plastic box filled with beras/rice,the main camera now has no fog issue.Phone now works fine.Just got from eBay Nilkin phone cover, easier to mount phone for GPS nav in the car,the ZR power button always accidentally pressed; with the new phone cover, all buttons are flushed.
Handling also much better with the textured back, night reading now with a gentler grip.

They replied to me within 3 working days.. below is what they replied:

Thank you for contacting the Sony Xperia support centre.

With regards to your query, as for the 4.2.2 update, you can do a check of the available software version for your phone through the Update Service. Here is the link: http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/update-service/

On the other hand, as for the 4.3 update, we have not been informed of the exact release date for the software rollout as of currently. However, do note that software rollout will come in batches and it depends on per country and the respective telco operator. Rest assured that should the phone software is already available, you will be notified directly through the phone, prompting you to update it.

For the latest news, information and product support please visit www.sonymobile.com.

To learn more on how we can support you, please visit our XperiaTM Care at www.sonymobile.com/support. For further assistance you may also contact us at 1-800-88-7666.
Please be aware that should you not respond within 5 days of this email your query will be automatically closed. Any further communications will not reach our support and a new query will need to be raised.

Kind Regards,
Nura

When there is 'Google Service', it is actually some apps/service keeping your phone from deep sleeping. You can try monitor your cpu deep sleep by using 'CPU Spy'. When this happen, you processor usually rest at 384Mhz instead of deep-sleeping, hence the drain.

Sometimes this happen to me too, after I launch certain app. It usually goes away after I restart my phone , and come back when I re-activated the apps. But it is really not that frequent for me, and even with the drain - I can still tahan 1 day , which looks like to be your case too (18 hours still have 40%)

If your phone is rooted, things are even easier - you can use greenify to identify the culprit.

Just grab CPU Spy + to further confirm this, it is a pretty neat tool to check out how your processor is running. You can always reset the counter to confirm whether your phone is deep sleeping or not - and it requires no root.

Kit Kat upgrade 'under investigation'

Sony announced its Android 4.4 KitKat plans earlier this month, confirming that the newest update will arrive on five Sony Xperia devices: Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia Z Ultra and Xperia Z1. At the time, Sony referred to these as the “first raft” of products that will get KitKat, leaving the door open to further announcements down the line.

Well it looks like Sony has at least confirmed which handsets it is considering to upgrade to Android 4.4 KitKat via the company’s support pages. Looking at the Xperia SP support page seems to suggest that KitKat is pretty much a dead cert. Checking out the pages for the Xperia ZR, Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V says that Android 4.4 KitKat is “Under Investigation”, which we take to mean it is seeing whether it is viable to make the port. None of this is proof it will happen, but it hopefully gives some insight into the company’s plans.
