Have the same problem with my 3 month old tyre
attributed it to my hard driving, adjusted the camber setting on the tyre and it wears semi evenly now.
What happened to my TYRE, Outer side of the tread is gone

QUOTE(jagjag @ May 13 2013, 10:26 AM) Haha..my wife..i wish she is the dare devils some times.... Probably not the best person to explain about camber. LOL. Ok..tyre pressure..i am sure is not the issue coz i always check it...like once in 2-3 weeks. so it could be the camber setting..i am noob here so can you pls explain more on this..many thanks From my understanding, it is like this. When the camber setting is off, in this sense, probably positive camber, during cornering, you will be eating outside too much .. (This could be due to potholes and etc altering the camber during the pothole impact) The way to resolve it, is to adjust the camber to a more negative setting, hence giving your tyre a better angle. By doing so, you will help balance the wear on the tyre. Hope this sort of explains it. |
