Last year's TI2, item drop was only eligible for those with pennants.

Post-TI2 tournaments (TD3/G1 league/etc etc), item drop was eligible for all viewers regardless of having pennants or not.

Valve still hasn't said anything whether the item drop will be available to all viewers or only for those with pennants (as is the case with TI2).

So for TI3, it might be the same as TI2... or it could be not.

why not support our own country lineup?? i knew european team are great but still we have our own hero right??

Yes dont need pennants to be able to get the drops... Every viewer has the chance for item drop... Unless they change the rule for TI3 la...

so i bought the ticket aka compendium. but at "watch>tournament>TI3 qest quliafiers" still nothing. isnt game suppose to start 2/3 hours from now?

or the ticket/smeevil (progress) doesnt include from qualifiers?

Yea man... Wish for something like that as well. In the UK, there is such event organized by Cyborgmatt's friend... Guess no one in LYN who owns a bar plays dota 2.. haha


Until the game is hosted and started (Players in pick/ban phase) then only you can see the games under live games. As for recent games, there are none so basically its empty now until they finished the event today...
Im sure the progress for smeevil includes qualifiers as well.

So I assume that only those who purchased the compendium only will be able to obtain item drops during live matches....

but dont go into the match thinking that u will get an item...normal tournament that requires ticket purchase = around 1k-3k plus viewer also very hard to get drops...imagine a quality tournament such as ti3 and its free....just watch and enjoy the quality matches from these top teams... because most drops comes when u dont expect it...

So basically its like this?

With Compendium
- chance to get items while watching
- can grow courier regardless watch live or replay

Without Compendium
- still get to watch games but no extra bonus

So with this, everyone can basically can also max out their courier because they can watch replays

last time pennants too cheap. people spam dupe account to get more item. now its up to compendium, not many people want to waste 10 usd just for dupe.

by the time the event start i think easily 2.5m

compendium comes with courier and battle bonus which can be traded for 3keys and 1 key sweets respectively...so its actually not that expensive for the compendium itself

wow....already 43k+ when the game just started....cant imagine how many will be for the main event...

Actually what i think is that $9.99 is not much of a deal for gamers in US or Europe....It's the currency onversion that makes the compendium price become ridiculously expensive for us malaysian ==
