check online with the serial number. apple.com/support
if ur ipod still in warranty, it should not give u any problem for warranty claim. The technician will also refer to the online record.

And for your info, there's no "warranty card" for recent apple product. Most is only your proof of purchase.

@wei: Thx for further details.

Just F all YI if u have not already know, I actually called MacAsia up for final confirmation (paranoid me!), and it is confirmed that you only need a proof of purchase to make a warranty claim.

Good day ppl..

Any to add a bit more, buy a AppleCare package to extend your life of your Mac desktop globally to 1+2 years (1 year is the standard warranty, add TWO years to your Mac when you get the relevent AppleCare package)

As always, please READ the fine print.

For iPods, the additional warranty is 1+1year, and this little bit of info below:

"... 2. Repair or Replacement Service Provided
a. Repair or Replacement Service. If during the Coverage Period there is a defect in materials or workmanship of the Covered Equipment,
or, after being fully charged and the iPod hardware product operating under Standard Operations, the capacity of the Battery to hold
an electrical charge has depleted fifty (50%) percent or more from its original specification, Apple will, at its option, repair or replace
the affected Covered Equipment. "

Of course, check the latest info : http://www.apple.com/support/products/applecareipod.html
