However the development’s biggest plus-point is the 121.406ha Elmina Central Park, next to the 1092.651ha forest reserve next to the township.

Located along the Guthrie Corridor Expressway, the development includes several sub-developments such as Denai Alam, Bukit Subang, Elmina East and Elmina West, North and South.

The entire development is an on-going project with Bukit Subang and Denai Alam almost completed said Sime Darby Property senior vice president Mohd Salem Kailany.

He revealed that Elmina East was 50% completed while the Elmina West project would be rolled out next year.

“We hope to bring in more innovative products and continue some existing features including seamless walkways for pedestrians and cyclist without compromising safety,” he added.

Sime Darby Property’s plan is for a mixed density, walkable neighbourhoods that reduce the incentive to drive so that the impact to the environment is reduced.

“So far, we have seen a 80% to 90% take up rate. We believe we will have some 200,000 people in the area once it is completed,” said Mohd Salem.

He added that the company was expecting a large population in the area due to Elmina City’s commercial and industrial components.

He said this during a launch ceremony for the development on May 30 in the presence of Shah Alam Mayor Datuk Ahmad Zaharin Mohd Saad.

Ahmad Zaharin said he was happy with the project and its modern homes.

He also said the development has the potential to become a low carbon city in line with Shah Alam’s to go green.

“We will be having a townhall meeting with the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water on a low-carbon city framework and I hope Sime Darby can attend as well because the same concept can be used here,” Ahmad Zaharin added.

A mountain bike jamboree and race, flea market, a concert and a carnival were held to mark the launch of the development.

The mountain bike jamboree and race received overwhelming support from the public, with more than 1,000 participants from different age groups taking part.

Cyclists were able to take in the scenic and lush trails that surrounded the township thanks to the specially designed off-road course spanning a distance of 41km for the race and 35km for the jamboree.

The concert in the evening featured the country’s leading artists such as Anuar Zain and Jaclyn Victor.

Minor defects..so far so good. I went with my parents and fee other relatives. They follow me to help me to inspect. Hehehe

Biggest defect -they forgotten to install a fan hook on the guess room. Hehehe. The supervisor will do it once I hand over the defect list.

Overall very happy with my unit. They also use ici paint for internal + external wall.
Sanitary fittings is all by Johnson Suisse! Very good quality indeed.
Tiles is by Niro. I haven't gone thru the list yet.
