I think what is smelled at the top is the burst of clove ... To any extend, it doesn't smell like Spice bomb on me though...hhhmmm, weird    After the top... i do get vanilla all the way though. On me, Spice Bomb resembled A little tobacco vanille... but not a slightest bit of Musc Ravageur... Anyway, i hope you enjoy your fragrances

For me I retried these frags just now:
Aramis - no matter how many times, its dated... Eventhough I love givenchy.gentleman
NRFH - green patchouli bomb... Very green earthy.. Got the wet cement vibe... 100% masculine... will be unique lol...
Antaeus - opening is harsh green earthy animalic... Mid to drydown masculine floral where I get jasmin.. Those kind of jasmin tat we can sniff from our fellow indian friends here quite well accepted in the indian community
Egoiste - quite linear, u get the creamy rose, vanilla n sweetness of sandalwood blend together smoothly, bit close to unisex...
Paphi - u get the fresh patchouli burst then slowly move towards incense smoky sweet powdery vanilla...

For me either paphi or egoiste

Hey Guys... Gotten myself Bond No 9 West Side as my birthday present

It is such an up-scale rose frag, although is unisex but then could lean towards feminine side for certain guys out there.

As a guy that has Tom Ford's Black Orchid as signature frag, i dont see any difficulty wearing West Side.

How it smells like according to my nose: When i first spray, it reminds me of one boozy drink. well according to Fragrantica reviewers, it smell like rose dip in wine, no no no for me... i smell ANGLIA SHANDY!!! yes West Side opening smell like Anglia Shandy.. ice cool, fizzy, sparkling... then after 10mins, the shandy start to fade to the background, then i start getting rose and other floral.. i did check what peony smell like, it should smell like rose lol

then the creamy sandalwood prevents the scent creep into feminine side, the rose is ripe rose petal, less dirty than the rose in egoiste... slowly the vanilla come out and say hello.. the vanilla in this context is not edible but it gives out a vanilla ice cream vibe which is beautiful, imo

Overall picture is like u are opening a can of Shandy then start to eat vanilla ice-cream on a sandalwood table in a rose garden The notes are easily detectable through my noob nose...

Projection and Longevity Projection wise, it is kind of quiet... long lasting i get 8hrs on me for the first wearing... will continue to test...

my initial impression - 9/10, West side is definitely a good blend, perfect for special occasion, date, suit up, clean cut, well-groom guys
