QUOTE(wazzapp @ Apr 2 2014, 09:37 AM) QUOTE(pj_guitarist @ Apr 2 2014, 09:48 AM) yeap , the ending is so twisted, something u just won't expect. on serious note it does explain how the perfume is made, and anyone who is sometimes baffled on how complex the process in and why perfume is much more expensive than deoderant should just watch and later try distilling some rose petal and try to get the rosey smell of a perfume. Ya a lot of process just to get the essences. I got the book as well. I wish I can have a small decant of tat frag... Mass orgy lolAnd the scent is so divine until been eaten up But seriously with tat formula, he can dominate the whole world |

QUOTE(pj_guitarist @ Apr 3 2014, 03:46 PM) that's how book tends to be vs its movie counterpart, always more elaborate in their details having the luxury of spinning layers of words upon pages that will take 100 times longer to go through than an average movie. Well movie has limited showing time... Like he actually spent like 7 years in the cave lol before he realise he dont have a scent...Amor n pysch |

QUOTE(pj_guitarist @ Apr 5 2014, 04:04 PM) haha the name is not tat fit... it can be portrait of a gentleman alsoSOTD - Atelier Cologne Vetiver Fatal... What motivates me to try other samples from the house after sample rose anonyme and gold leather is that bro Izam oledi bought a bottle of Orange Sanguine lol which is one of my fav from the house... Vetiver fatal i try it before i even search basenotes and fragrantica lol This stuff could be my fav vetiver scent well i gotta manage some expectations first, if u looking sth similar to Encre Noire, Sycamore or vetiver extrodinaire im sorry then... This is fruity vetiver, vetiver plays a supporting role and u only can find it when it approaches drydown stage. the vetiver here do not have the smoky inky characteristic, its rather green... online reviewers vote this as twin sisters of Hermes vetiver tonka, another one would be Byredo Bal D'arfique... not to mention this stuff is one of the stronger performance from Atelier lol.... it can be wear in any occasion any weather conditions... Price wise, who say all niche are crazily priced... 200ml for $190... Im might consider spliting the 200ml bottle more review from this house coming up.. stay tune |

QUOTE(marver @ Apr 6 2014, 03:41 PM) SOTD : Sous le toit de Paris By Atelier Cologne. (Sample) Told ya to try it... The leather here is soft.. But the violet leather combo make it soft n yet classy Did a usual 5shot tis time.As i feel Atelier fragrance cap as natural cologne with 18% Essence Concentration. Well,For the opening notes i got a strong but not harsh Violet leafy scent perfectly blend with citruses,Thus vy refreshing.. As i simply detect the citruse freshness are from Africa Geranium rather Bergamot,As there's a rosy type flora lurking on the background.. After a 5min dry-down,Haitian Vetiver comes out and play together. While a bit disappointed point is i hardly get Leather note... Overall i would put a " BUY " Tag. Start to admire Atelier hard work and their commitment and passion on building their brand. ![]() |

Sotn - by kilian rose oud
I had a small decant of it recently... Damn this is in the league with oud silk mood... Diff being oud silk mood has a green vibe and rose oud has this rubbery leather vibe... Price point kilian is cheaper if u go for the refill bottle than the gold platted coffin... Bear in mind that killian is edp and oud silk mood is extrait... Both have outstanding longevity and projection... Really one of the best rose oud in the market... Oh ya i did a comparison between this and city love, i can only say city love is distance cousin of rose oud... No fight... |

QUOTE(attacusatlas @ Apr 9 2014, 06:23 PM) Wow again thanks for the tips. I just subscribed to their newsletter. Awww how lovely and cute is she Now I need to be patience...... Off the topic, my daughter has been watching me putting on perfume before I go to work, after taking bath, before outting etc. She will come and sniff my neck and my wrist, and tell me if she likes the scent or not. So far Amouage is a big NO-NO to her LOL. If I have forgotten to apply any perfume, she will open up my perfume storage box and tell me to put on something. My wife is saying she will be having difficulty in finding a bf/hubby........ |

QUOTE(attacusatlas @ Apr 9 2014, 07:17 PM) This will serve as a very good excuse for me to keep on collecting perfume. Shall inform my wife on this. Hmmm ic... I got endorsement from my gf on this she say as long i smell niceHow I started of using (and collecting) perfume could be due to watching my father applying Brut or Tabac since I was small. It gave that kind of 'clean', 'tidy', 'neat' and 'proper' feelings. She just say spend within ur means |
