Having been used to the previous UI, the new one takes a little getting used to for an old man like me smile.gif

Haha, I'm no pro lah. Those pro can make a living out of it.

Was wearing my decant of vintage Jicky EdT out today. Smell and performance I would say are on par with my modern EdT Jicky except that I picked up natural bergamot from vintage Jicky.

Enjoy the rest of the Malaysia day holiday.

StrawberryNet is currently having 10% off for the launch of its new look. Happy shopping!

Thanks for the heads up.

Does anyone here know if there's Miller Harris at Isetan? I don't remember seeing one.

Always a pleasure. Received the latest newsletter so might as well share the info here. I still remember during my uni life the Blue Jeans and Red Jeans were so over popular you literally can smell it almost everywhere. Same goes to the CK One and CK be.

Two years ago Isetan used to host a small temporary Miller Harris counter, sharing together with CDG for about a month during X'mas season. It was more like a guerrilla tactic - hit and run.

Today it can be found at The Tangs, One Utama. Not much variety. The counter is kinda 'sad' if I may use the word - sharing with VCA and Balenciaga.

the ciggy smoke will most likely mask ur scent trail...

AFAIK, u can consider the following: (am assuming u are looking for tobacco based scent)

YSL L'Homme
Burberry London
D&G The One (if you can look past the abysmal longevity & projection)
TM Pure Havane
Bvlgari Man in Black
V&R Spicebomb
L'occitane Eau de Baux
Versace Dreamer
Gucci by Gucci (same reason as the one)
Serge Luten Chergui
Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille
Tom Ford Tobacco Oud
Parfum Marly Herod
Creed Tabarome Millesime

That's a really nice looking discovery coffret set. I've only tried their Secretions Magnifiques and Rien. These two are probably their most popular scents. SM is a milky iris and Tauer's plasticky Reverie with a metallic tinge. Rien I get mostly incense and black pepper with a hint of styrax. It reminds me of Casbah by Robert Piguet. The one I'm eyeing on is actually L'Air de Rien by Miller Harris. A bespoke perfume created for Jane Birkin in 2006. She used to be hot when she was younger biggrin.gif

Currently I'm also eyeing on Tolu by Ormonde Jayne. They have beautiful discovery set as well. It's 48 UK Pound with free international shipping :-

I assume you're looking for tobacco based scents because IMO, only this compliments smokers.

On top of what bro ed and dewa have mentioned, I would like to add :-
(1) Habanita by Molinard (vintage) - Although there's no tobacco note in it, it was initially released to scent cigarette and to smoke with it. Haven't tried it but my decant is on the way to me.
(2) Michael by Michael Kors - Pure Malt with pipe tobacco and incense. I love this one.

BTW, I'm letting go of my Burberry London (tester) if anyone is interested biggrin.gif

Can anyone please tell me if the Chloe perfume is available at Aeon Jusco One Utama? I am planning to get a farewell gift for my staff who is leaving me soon.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks macha Marver for the fast delivery of my new designer Burberry London.... suddenly craving for a tobacco based fragrance as chergui almost finish edi...

Well being with both sweet pipe tobacco (chergui), and green tobacco leaves (romance silver)... im on the green leaves side lol and the sweet port wine (my fav after dinner wine) seal the deal for me....

I did consider spicebomb however i got Man in Black and Eau de Baux (more wearable TV) edi, so London is da one... i cant look beyond The One issues, Tabarome is too expensive for a 4hr scent lol... Havana too old school for my liking...

I do admit London do not really excel on the longevity and projection part, still it bring more satisfaction to my nose per ringgit wise compared to Tabarome..

And Marver, Solo by Loewe is truly underrate and yet remarkable... i can sum the scent in 3 words - Juicy, Fruity, Sugar-free.

Top notes are lavender, mandarin orange, bergamot, lemon, guava, thyme, rosemary, cashmirwood, patchouli and costus; middle notes are aldehydes, nutmeg, cinnamon, pink pepper, mint, caraway, anise and tangerine; base notes are amber, musk, oakmoss, vanilla and woodsy notes

Spanish and Italian really know how to add in tat flare in making toilet water...

This is the new Acqua di Gio!!!

Just tried the Dior Homme Parfum in Sephora. A darker, less sweet and Arabian version of DHI. The sandalwood incensy note is very prominent here. Nice and smooth.
