BBW has just restocked some of their frags. Newly added includes Avant Garde (Tester) going for MYR180 for those interested and no, I don't work for BBW.

Couldn't sleep last night due to the famous Sarawak blackout. Too tired to do deadlift/back workout today so headed straight to L`Occitane store after work. It was actually my first time walking into the store. As expected the young SA introduced me their citrus based frags. I didn't take note of the name for it. Sniffed Eau du Badian, Eau des Baux and Eau de Vétyver. I'm impressed with all of them. They smell very natural. Not synthetic as expected from their price point. I must say they are even better than most department store designers.

Eau des Baux is unique but it's a bit dry for my taste. Eau de Vétyver to me is love at first sniff. The young SA was giving me that look. You like it? It's a bit heavy she said. Anyway, Eau de Vétyver reminds me of LIDGE or is it just me? It's currently on offer until the end of the month selling at MYR143 (no wonder BBW is selling at MYR105). Moderate projection and longevity wise, I still have it detectable on my wrist after 3.5 hrs so it looks promising.

Hmmm... I'm not sure if BdC is exactly what I'm looking for after reading some reviews. But I will take a look thanks!

Knowing myself, I got a feeling I'll pick up both Chrome and CW anyway somewhere down the road.

BBW restocked CW (40ml) going for MYR97 if you're interested.

Ur most welcome bro smile.gif

SOTN : Chergui
To my nose, it started off with a feminine scent. Then slowly move to unisex but just a bit towards men frag bout 40 minutes later...
Interesting..

Went to sample L`Occitane Eau de Vétyver again. It smelled the same on paper strip and my wrist except that I got a very strong green note on my wrist in the opening. Wife likes it and said it smells like my PAPHI. I do agree with her. I don't have a trained nose but to me, both LIDGE and PAPHI share similar vibe (w/o cacao and myrrh). I did a note search on fragrantica and found out both Eau de Vétyver and Tom Ford Noir have vetiver and nutmeg. Wanted to get the shower gel but it's currently out of stock.

After being exposed to L`Occitane frags, went to try another frags from skin care company, Kiehl's. Sniffed all 4 of their unisex lines, only found their Vanilla & Cedarwood interesting and more wearable for men.

Sniffed their Original Musk too but smells very dated.

actually i quite like perfume from skin care company as they do what they do best... in between designer n niche with competitive pricing.... Kiehl's Original musk haha it smell dated but it is nice, it is very close to Serge Luten's Muscs Koublai Khan le...
I still have the paper strip and it's actually nicer now once the musk is toned down with other notes came into play.

QUOTE
Crabtree n Evelyn also a good house... its West Indie Lime is a lower price DHS...
Interesting. Will check it out next time.

QUOTE
Dolcelisir is a very affordable alternatives to Hermessence Ambre Narguile; while Meharees has the opening n mid notes of L`Air du Desert Marocain n drydown of Musc Ravageur...
Really?! Ambre Narguile is one I would like to give my nose on.

SOTD - CK Escape

Bottle on the right is my very first perfume I received as a x'mas gift from my parent in 1996. I bought my 2nd bottle (50ml) from BBW in July last year for 150 MYR. Not the best online price though.

I didn't keep my vintage bottle properly away from light and heat. Eventually it turned darker in juice and sour in smell. Font size is smaller on current bottle but still smells the same as I remember it with good projection and longevity. I still like it and wear it sometimes.

Dior eau sauvage 50ml for RM 144. Good deal ?

The SN Daily Special will end in less than 2 hours. 144 MYR looks like a good deal to me if I know I won't be using much else there's tester at BBW.

SOTN - Secret Bliss

This shower gel is actually quite good. Doesn't smell synthetic/cheap at all. I prefer this over Magical Beauty from the Fine Fragrance Elixir lines. Although marketed for women but I think men can definitely pull this off. Notes are Egyptian Violet Leaf, Elemi Oil, Amber, Black Violet and Sandalwood (source: lux.com).

yup, the issue is always with our customs processing & clearance and postal delivery system.  I just ordered some frags fr FX last Fri, will see how long it takes to reach me this time. My last order reached my doorstep in 13 days and each order delivery time varies quite a bit.
MY SOTD = PAPH

It's been shipped out from KL 1.24am today. With fingers crossed, hopefully I can get it in the next two days.

SOTD - Roccobarocco Sliver Jeans

My signature scent during the late 90's. Gone through 2 bottles of it. On the right is my vintage bottle. The supposedly red JEANS on the current bottle was actually stickers. It came loose one day and I peeled it all off. This is copycat of CW without the herbal note. I actually prefer this over CW. Good projection and longevity on my skin.
