Agree with these! So it's not because the 2.0 is powerful enough (it only produce a very ordinary 136ps/190nm pushing around 1.5 tons! All cars in this segment which use 2.0 NA engines are hopelessly underpowered, but most people in Malaysia don't care about this aspect.
Well it depends on how efficient is your expectation. I'm driving a 2.5ltr V6 and my best can get 10.7km/ltr combined city/highway on RON95, which for me is not bad for a 1.5 ton RWD car producing >200Hp that's already about 5yrs old. But if you're expecting like >13km/ltr then maybe have to consider smaller cars. Having said that, maybe the new Mazda 6 can be that efficient, CMIIW.
Most important though is your right foot, I'm sure my car can be more efficient if I drive more patiently like some people.
