...as for ur question no.3, the answer is pretty simple, its basically the same theory for people who bought Merc C200 (i just take Merc for example, not related with ur Teana anyway), what they want is the car, the brand, the image/status, without bothering what's under the hood. this is the typical mentality of 99% malaysia people.

many people buy 2.0 because of the roadtax as well.. 2.0 to 2.5 very big difference in the roadtax

Agree with these! So it's not because the 2.0 is powerful enough (it only produce a very ordinary 136ps/190nm pushing around 1.5 tons! All cars in this segment which use 2.0 NA engines are hopelessly underpowered, but most people in Malaysia don't care about this aspect.

TS, don't expect a low fuel consumption if you choose to drive a V6 engine car. if FC is your concern then you should choose a normal 4 inline engine.

I driving V6 2.5l

Paying 7.7km per liter.

Well it depends on how efficient is your expectation. I'm driving a 2.5ltr V6 and my best can get 10.7km/ltr combined city/highway on RON95, which for me is not bad for a 1.5 ton RWD car producing >200Hp that's already about 5yrs old. But if you're expecting like >13km/ltr then maybe have to consider smaller cars. Having said that, maybe the new Mazda 6 can be that efficient, CMIIW.
Most important though is your right foot, I'm sure my car can be more efficient if I drive more patiently like some people. smile.gif

The only difference one would consider a V6 against Inline 4 is the engine response and smoothness.
No inline 4 engines can have the same smooth acceleration compared to Inline6 and V6. It's built to be vibration and rattling free.

But if that's not a concern, then just go for Inline 4 engines.

Agree with this! 6 cylinder engines by design is very balanced, like a V10 & V12, hence pretty much vibration free and very smooth. 4 cylinder engine still requires something like a balance shaft, and will never be that smooth.

Hi,

Check this out.

If you like Teana 2.5, you may be interested in this.

The high fuel consumption may be the disadvantage. But the advantage is that it is better and cheaper than teana 2.5.

But really, if i consider this car, the fuel consumption is the least of my worries.

Being an accountant, i don't believe in purchasing expensive cars. hehehe

Yeah this car is a really good option since it's >200HP and RWD with all the luxury as well! I was also considering this when I got my Mark X as they both exact direct competitors with almost the same spec and price range. I'm sure its' FC also would not be so bad considering the extra power it gives (I think should be able to get around 9-11km/ltr as well like Mark X). The only downside is that this car is even more rare hence mechainc with expertise and parts might not be as easy to find.

It's a beautiful car. Mine is teana 2.5, year 2011.
I've done 123k km. Fuel consumption very good and oustation is even better. For full tank, I get about 700Km (outstation) Local and 500 km.

Parts are expensive, but if you maintain it with Tan Chong, of course it's a little expensive, but you will be fully satisfied.

So far now it's been about 9vto 10 years, there has been no major problems.

It's a lovely car I would say.

Nissan Skyline is the sportier version, direct compete with T. Mark X

If similar to Teana (comfort base) would be the N. Fuga/Cima or infinity Q70, direct compete with T. Crown, Lexus GS
