Hey guys,

I have a question about Rooting.
I know theres other places better to ask, but just a quick answer will do.

I want to root my phone, but it isnt Yakju. It is the stock Samsung Galaxy nexus software, 4.2.1 jelly bean.
Is there a simpler way to Root the device? (than to use GNEX toolkit)

last time i used GNEX toolkit, it erased all my apps/ phone numbers, and didnt manage to root. =(

The last time was right when Jelly bean came out.

i guess i used it on samsung auto updated jelly bean, when GNEX tool was still only for YAKJU jelly bean.

That may have been the reason it didnt let me root. =(

but ok, i'll try again tonight.
I really dont want to lose my phone numbers again.
(the google sync contacts didnt seem to work for me..)
