I have my eyes on the DELL VOSTRO 5460/i5-3230M/4GB/500GB/14"/2G/W8/SILVER version. Been using Acer Aspire 2920 for 5 years and thinking of an upgrade.
Can this laptop play games? Pretty much the only "graphic-intensive" game I play is Civilization V. So whether or not this laptop can play the game can make or break the deal for me.

QUOTE(gyver @ Jul 18 2013, 09:05 AM) Receive my 5460 in 5 days.... I thought it was 2 weeks. So I guess the news on Dell clearing old stock is true. Anyways I truely love this bargain ultrabook. So since yesterday I have been seting up my ultrabook which takes some time since I am installing via network dvd-drive. Sadly I didn't get the external optical drive that was given free to first 100 customers only. A problem for me is my original games that require a dvd to to play. Do I need to buy an external dvdrom just to play games? Any other solution guys? Aww, no more free external optical drive? That's sad. I suppose you ordered from the Dell website? As for the games, you can try buying games online from Steam www.steampowered.com. Just set up an account, purchase the games online (the site is having a Summer Sale now - they have lots of sales each year), and then you can install the games you've bought from the Steam program. It's easy and you don't need a DVD drive. Steam will store your purchases forever, so you can reinstall the same game in a different PC/laptop. You just need a Visa, Mastercard, Paypal or some means of purchasing the games online.. And an Internet connection, of course. This post has been edited by kiasuXD: Jul 18 2013, 06:14 PM
