Yeah they offered me a refund, unit replacement or lcd replacement. I had no other option than the lcd replacement since I will be out of Malaysia after three weeks and unit replacement would take 20days++.

This is really frustrating. The whole new laptop feeling has been ruined. Probably got a really bad unit.

@azerak, yes the one i bought is not a touchscreen. Both touchscreen/non-touchscreen are available. I think windows 7 on 5470 is not available as default as far as i know (correct me if i am wrong).

5460 / 5470 users, so far my unit is not facing a single problem at all.  When it arrived FRESH & VIRGIN from Dell, I just ran the windows update and setup all except languages. I think the best way to have a better system is to share what minor-major software that we BOUGHT / DOWNLOADED & INSTALLED, not the one already inside the system such as McAfee. Here's mine:-

That's all As for start up, only few enabled to maintain the speed of boot up. TBH, I'm an "UPDATE FREAK" woman because I will always spend 10 minutes of my life everyday to manually check if there's any update for my system or software.

inspiron is 2 kg while vostro is only 1.6 kg.
but inspiron is thinner compare to vostro.

i bought 5470 (rm2149) laptop.. then bought myself Crucial m500 ssd, but the ssd wont work. I called up dell, they say 5470 got 2 kind.. 1 is 5470 notebook, and 1 is 5470 ultrabook.. somehow the rm2149 is notebook, thus does not support SSD. its kinda stupid excuse, but heck. anyone manage to get it anything work?

or should i just get mSata?
