Thinking of buying the 5470 highest spec with touch screen.
Want to ask
1. Where is cheapest? Online or concept store. Heard can gt some minor discount. Anyone got Jalan?

2. Want to upgrade ram to at least 8Gb. Not listed online. Can't the shop upgrade for me? Will it void warranty? Can upgrade to 16gb?

3. Also need extra power adaptor. Where can get? Online store not listed.
Thanks.

Don't Want to change the power adapter. Just an additional one. One for office and one for home so no need to keep packing it up and down. blush.gif

I've searched multiple online stores and local retailer and found out one of the best sites (in terms of search functionality), and give a very good price, in Malaysia, is none other than Tech Hypermart.

http://www.techhypermart.com/catalogsearch...er=price&q=5470

I'm not marketing them, it just my personal experience. If other user can introduce a better online stores, please do.  biggrin.gif

But sorry, they didn't listed the highest specs available for Vostro 5470. The highest spec listed is this one:
DELL VOSTRO 5470-20452G-W8
- Intel® Core™ i5-4200U-1.6GHz
- 4GB DDR3 RAM, 500GB SATA HDD
- NVIDIA® GeForce® GT740M
- Windows® 8
- RM2069

No touchscreen and mSATA SSD in this specs, but you can try ask for this model.

Also, they cannot upgrade the RAM to 8GB because only one slot (and they can't take the old ones even if you willing to add additional price for upgrading). For this case, better you directly call and buy from Dell and ask for upgrade, I sure they can assist you at the best that they can. You can even ask for discount.  laugh.gif I assume the price would be RM2600+ or something, for 8GB RAM specs with touchscreen and mSATA SSD 32GB.

You can upgrade it yourself with no warranty voided (if you willing to take out the old 4GB RAM tongue.gif). And the maximum is only 8GB. DDRL3, not DDR3. For additional power adapter I'm not sure.

Thanks for the info.

Don't see any retailers selling the i5 touch screen with mSata. Anyone see it anywhere? Prefer to collect it than wait for delivery. Am in kl for the holidays.

Also no option to upgrade ram on the website. But on the spec listing it goes up to 8Gb ram. Can the sales rep offer option that is not listed?

Any dell sales rep you can recommend?

Dell Tech came to my office and formated my laptop and changed the screen. THere was one dead pixel...

Want to upgrade the RAM to 8gb. Anyone knows which model I should get? Thinking of Corsiar but not sure which one. I know it is Low Voltage one. Anyone change before?
