QUOTE(boradora @ May 19 2015, 12:01 AM) Mind elaborating? Do you experience range issues with the WiFi? i have 5470 and my gf has 5480. we both have the same problem. if you turn on your wifi and bluetooth and connect both (wifi connected to internet, bluetooth connected connected to wireless headphone or mouse), the internet will become very unstable. if you are using 5mbps or 10mbps unifi, you might not see the difference because the speed is so fast. but if you are using streamyx or P1Wimax (like me), your pages straight cannot load. if you know a bit of IT, you can try ping-ing and see the moment you connect or turn on the bluetooth, it automatically becomes time out...

QUOTE(azrilyp @ May 19 2015, 08:07 AM) yeah, 5480 uses the low voltage ones. Was thinking that should there be a 16GB low voltage ones, i might swap the 8GB to another laptop.. DDR3L 16GB not available now. maximum is 8gb only

QUOTE(cumberbitch @ Aug 5 2015, 03:32 PM) Hi 5480 users, I might be getting the 5480 i7 soon, but have some concerns. 1. How is the battery life for.. regular use. MS Word/Excel, browsing, and videos. 2. Upgrading the ram to 8gb, will it affect the battery life? 3. Any heating issues? I'll be using AutoCAD and Matlab occasionally. Thanks! battery life is good. if you use autocad will definitely shorten it. the ram doesnt really affect the battery life. so far no heating issue, you can thank the 2 fans for that

QUOTE(Zaryl @ Sep 1 2015, 03:22 PM) how good is good? 5-6 hours tops? Then i'm planning to buy the 1TB version, but it's using normal HDD instead of the 500GB with 8GB SSD cache. Which one is better in your opinion? if just normal surfing, you can get around 5 hours. but if you run heavy software and watch videos or streaming, it will shorten

QUOTE(m|key @ Sep 22 2015, 10:29 AM) hi guys, anyone here tried upgrading from 4GB to 8GB RAM? Upgraded my 5470 to 8gb ram and SSHD. So far okie. Only one problem. When I shut down, the screen goes blank. But the usb ports still got power and the fan is still turning. Not sure if it's windows 10 problem or what. Anyone got this problem since upgrading to Windows 10?

I finally changed my wifi card to intel 7260 AC which gives me 5GHz band. Solved my USB 3.0 and bluetooth issue (for now)
