Delphi and Rainbow so expensive because of commission. Granted, they are very good, but at that price, not sure worth it or not. I heard the salesman gets RM100 each time he can demo at your house, that's why they are so eager to demo. The demo they will do to impress you is vacuum your bed, and show you how much dirt is trapped in the water.

I use Dyson DC38, 2K+, it can suck my bed just as well. Smaller and lighter and easier to carry everywhere too. 5 years warranty for the motor.

Even if you use RM300 Philips vacuum cleaner, it can still vacuum drapes and mattresses and pillows. You just need the kit.

Samsung got one model using double water chamber... one to trap dust, another to filter the outgoing air (I think got HEPA filter too). So, double the goodness of Rainbow? brows.gif

Actually, water itself is not so good at trapping dust, becos dust/hair/dirt are not water soluble...

I have the rainbow wan in my house also. I advice you dont buy better. Even though last until now like 6-7 years but the parts have to repair a few times. Like the roller underneath after few years get brittle. So maybe not worth the price tag.

Think twice before u buy Dyson.....Especially DC24......

My family own a Dyson DC24, nearly RM2k....Bough at Seng Heng in March 2013.
March 2014, it got problem.....(Less than one year actually)

Send it to Seng Heng, it cost about RM 355 to repair....
My god~~ It got 5 years "GUARANTEE"!! Why we need to pay!?

They told us the cleaner head damage, and this is not include in "GUARANTEE" item, Dyson not guarantee whole part for vacuum......It state down the detail in the "user manual".

Went there twice to argue.....and my family agree to pay, coz put a RM 2K vacuum away is too waste....

Now the vacuum back to work, and we hear the story...Family all very not happy about this. Especially Dyson web site and Seng Heng sales both told us 5 years guarantee!! We put Seng Heng and Dyson to black list and share this to all our friends and family around....

Then I start to wonder....is this because of Seng Heng after sales service or really Dyson problem?? I wrote an Email to Dyson Malaysia.

They call me in the same day and ask for detail information, this is good.
After I provide detail info, purchase invoice, repair bill.....Guess what? They claim this is an accidental damage, it is not in the term and condition, and the T&C state in the manual....Let's it.....

We are not rich people, choose Dyson because of the performance and quality, this is the Dyson and all user feedback in forum. The family really take care of it, never fall down, About one time a week use......I believe any one of you will do the same, cos its really costly!!

Then.....I will post this to forum, and thinking of bring the case to Dyson UK, maybe consumer court....

To share this case to all friends in Lowyat. Think twice before you go for Dyson, especially the 5 years warrant!

While I surf Internet for Dyson UK Email, I found some other complain of Dyson :

I bought an Electrolux vacuum with a variable speed knob from Harvey Norman 3 years ago (~RM300+) with 1+4 years extended warranty for an extra ~RM80 and it was spoiled after 3 years. So HV gave me a full refund of the price I paid initially to purchase a new vacuum cleaner (after send in for repair for two times). Still goes back to Electrolux now with remote control on the handle ZAP9940 #canggih

Hi there. Understand you paid 10,975 for this. Is there reason why some people are charged RM12,000++? Has their price changed in 2018?

Do you think worth getting it for RM12K now?
It does comes with free gift that they claim worth 1K USD, some rainbow cooking system pot.

Does it effectively remote dust from your house?
The agent also demo it as Air Purifier besides Vacuum.
I find it quite heavy and still noisy at low mode.

Perhaps. It is worth getting 1. 12k is a bit pricey but then again, back then the exchange rate didn't suffer so much.
It is heavy but that's how it's made to be. Durable. U can use it for 12 hours straight and it will still be all ok.

Are you letting it running 24/7 as air purifier?
I guess the 12K price mostly contributed to the MLM agents's commission

Are you letting it running 24/7 as air purifier?
I guess the 12K price mostly contributed to the MLM agents's commission

No. It be stupid to run it air purifier. Too noisy. It's a powerful vacuum cleaner. Perfect fit getting rid of gunk, bugs and whatever loose hair on your mattress.

I meant run it as air purifier when you are not using it as vacuum.
Else keeping in the box seems wasteful.

Sucker born every minute. The customer is so convinced they needed such a powerful vacuum, they self justify their purchases.

But respect to the sales people that can pull it off. They are really the 'Sell me this pen" kind of salesman. They create the demand by convincing the customer that such a powerful vacuum is good for them. They make the customer want to buy it although they were living fine without it. they convince the customer that RM8k is a reasonable amount for a powerful vacuum. And the best part is, the make the customer happy owners of said products.

Had a demo done recently and received a token free gift. Sales person is nice and professional, no pressure to buy. This product is not for everyone due to high cost. The product does exactly what it says and the cost is very clear. There is no cheating, hidden charges or false promises.

I didn't buy it because there's no need for my household. But for others in need of such high level of cleanliness or with cash to burn, then I can fully understand why they would buy it. I wouldn't call them suckers. Those who "invest" in obvious ponzi schemes are more foolish in my opinion.

Price is standard for US, UK and SG, but somehow Dancom local distributor still selling the old V8 with markup price. Still didn't see the new V10 on their dyson malaysia site.

Cheaper to buy from SG seller, even with duty import tax.

Had a demo recently and this is the conclusion.
The demo is aimed to confuse you about your home air quality.
1. They ON the vacuum and allow the water to mix with air, next they shine the light into the water and claim that air is dirty.

It is air bubbles in the water caused by machine using water filter.

Objective is to scar you into thinking your home air needs to be cleaned due to bad air. That is pure rubbish, since if your air was bad, you need check your lungs first, you must be terminally ill due to bad air.

2. They pour some aroma therapy into the system and let the water vapor come out, claiming that it will improve your health.

Get a humidifier for RM200, same job done.

3. They take it up to bedroom to show it can clean your bed. Claim is bed bugs can be trapped and sucked out.

If you had bed bugs, you will know about it since you will have bites. Scare tactic to make you think you need it.

4. The price is RM11,850 is a way to expensive for a vacuum given that top ten vacuum, it is not within top 3 in the US itself.

5. Size of the vacuum is too large, given the current day and age, simple sucker with a portable battery is the best, not a bulky beast, as indicated by others that have bought it and gave it away.

6. The claim it is used by hotels and hospitals is bull, since none would spend so much for a sucker.

7. Most of the people who claim it is worthwhile are those that are the agents of the machine, trying to defend their product, so as to give some authentic view

8. Final conclusion - over priced product that does not have the status and symbol of a ferrari or rolex - those are show off items.

9. Seriously, this is not a status symbol, it is a cleaning utility and one that cannot justify the $$$ invested

10. Video of rainbow vs dyson experiments in youtube indicates that both are similar cleaning power, so buy a dyson.

End of my opinion on the demo itself

Yes.

Such rainbow vacuum cleaner is a scam.

The vacuum unit itself is not bad but just an ordinary vacuum technology.

The price is too expensive and pay several time more than it worth. It is a scam price.

Yeah.
Some more Dyson V10 is not so expensive. It is a good buy.

RM 2,699 for Fluffy version with soft roller head, only if your house only got hard floor.

or RM 2,999 comes with additional torque driven hard brush roller, much more versatile for any type of floor.

Yes you pay for their R&D, their brand, yet no other vacuum competitor come close to Dyson.
I rather to pay for top class product.

Anyway don't say Roidmi F8 that one is utterly lapsap. If you want to clean the HEPA filter once 2-3 times cleaning, then go ahead. whistling.gif

Nope, it is not.

These brands are for suckers. Only suckers can testify to how good it is.

Pity my colleague spent 15k for a vacuum cleaner. A VACUUM CLEANER!!!

Saying it out loud make one feel stupid. And they should feel stupid for being duped into buying these things.

It is damn expensive.

Cheaper way and more effective --> get a steam garment certified for dust mite and a normal vacuum cleaner.

Steam garment can kill what ever bug, mite and bacteria. Penetrate even deeper. Than just suck it out with any vacuum cleaner.

Really kena game and insulted by them, hate them cuz of that.

When Black Friday sale, can see articles Dyson V10 this, Supersonic that can get for this and that cheaper price.

Check Lazada, even on 11/11 or 12/12 promo, no price change. Supersonic IIRC can get for about RM1.2k after convert, on Lazada still around RM1.6k, babi betul.

Seems like everyone recommending Dyson here, isit really worth it? I check the pricing is like one office laptop price.

Hmm.. cuz my house is small also, if i use these two things seperately. It will be "bulky" to my storage haha, i preferred something portable but packs a punch. So far i found Dyson's one is pretty suit my needs.

Because for many of those few Ks vacuum (like rainbow for eg), they make it 'affordable' to own by way of monthly installments. Only few hundreds RM per month.. "illusion of affordability"..

I use kar her DS6 that perform the same job as my mum’s rainbow... it only cost 25% of rainbow price.. i think for a good vacuum cleaner to cost 3k would be my max tolerate level.
