I'm only thinking that since the UI is optimized for fixed-pixel count display, I don't think they will be able to do resizable widgets, and I wonder how will they handle redraw of live widgets like floating clouds etc since this will invoke the GPU, therefore battery life will be even worse.

What kind of apps are you looking for? I'm not that into games, usually interesting utilities. You may browse the XDA Android Dev section or Reddit software sections (post 12 link) and tell us if there are any interesting things.

Samsung Rom, hardware, software is different from nexus leh. Just the base is the same. 4.2.2 maybe out long time but Samsung 4.2.2 just release leh with s4
