According to reports of a few users, there is no significant difference. Is it worthwhile will depend on where you spend most of your time, since LTE locations are still limited.

For the capacity, it's probably an issue of $$$profit. 16Gb was in vogue from 2010 already. Yes, 3 years later we should have Moore's law kick in TWICE already (ie 64Gb !!!!) !!!!

I have NO crapple devices. rolleyes.gif

I noticed seeing your name in the Omega beta testers' list. Now I vaguely remember you mentioning this in the early days of the threads.

More Note3 love:

For me, the Galaxy Note 2 scratches a special itch. When I leave my computer, I feel guilty. I think, “Oh, I won’t be able to get any work done.” But then I let my fingers grace over my left pocket and I feel that good old familiar strong, rectangular shape, and I am comforted that I have a device that works as hard as I do, and one that can take a licking, too. It remains as the only device that I’ve been able to drop, both in the video below, and in my actual life that has been able to sustain the savage abuse I subject my devices to. Sorry folks, I can’t help it.

Of course the moral is NEVER drop your device, but then again you get all sorts of people....

Well guys, looks like this 7 month old last-gen cheap-plastic device is still topping out the LYN Android charts. Net 162 posts for day 1.

Once we get 4.2.2 I guess it will become another frenzy of posting again.

It's called Regression Testing. You won't believe how boring and repetitive and painful this can get. If it doesn't pass all the test cases, the proper decision is "Don't release it". Well, whether people make proper decisions or not whistling.gif

Guys, I'm on Monx since yesterday, doesn't seems anything special with it apart from a few tweaks option and the default brightness even at low seems brighter than stock. Speed wise is better than stock IMO although sometimes when playing game like candy crush the screen a bit unresponsive.

In your opinion, which is a good stock looking ROM? wanam? monx?

a really dependable and reliable phone when shit happens nod.gif

has never disappointed me till the last drop of batt so far nod.gif

with a 1080p screen in tow, I wonder if the note 3 needs to have at least a 4000mah batt to have almost the same, if not better SOT? hmm.gif
*
I would simply speculate that due to the larger device size, they should be able to cram in a 3500mAh battery at least. Probably the top end would be 3800mAh. That should give us enough for the same levels of SOT.

So now perhaps the S series is the beta testbed for the Note series ? tongue.gif Note is the REAL flagship ? laugh.gif

Not many unless you search the individual XDA posts where some forumers provide a torrent seed.

App Quarantine

Posted on Google+
What's going on with Google bloatware recently? On my devices I have several Google Apps in quarantine (disabled) that I don't really use, e.g. Google Earth or Google Play Movies. Magically those apps got updated automatically and are active again. To explain this further....

There's a feature in App Quarantine that notifies the user when an app is no longer in disabled (usually after an update). This was a feature needed during the 2.x days when apps were updated even when they were disabled. So I could automatically (or interactively) put them back in quarantine. But since 3.x/4.0 Android finally respects disabled apps, e.g. doesn't update them when they were disabled, so this feature is no longer needed.

Now few days ago on my Nexus 7 I was really surprised when the App Quarantine notification suddenly showed up and notified me that Google Play Movies is no longer disabled, and today the same happened with Google Earth.

I know the Google Play Store updates itself automatically in the background, and probably also the Google Play Services framework, but I did never see any Google apps updating themselves.

Anyone else seen such behavior? What's happening here? I had plans to remove said feature in a future version of my app, but now I guess I have to think twice before doing so! This is still a behavior that should be controlled by my app... oh I mean by its users wink.gif
