Dear all
I just installed ABN at puchong intan - 10 Mbps
it seems working well even on a saturday night
After reading this. I added a TPLINK Archer C7 router to the system.
Initially, there was a screw up and I couldnt get backvnto the Motorola modem.
Then I reset it (push a pin into the small hole at the back of motorola - with the power ON - until all the led lights go off - then let go)
it will reset everything back to default. So, this was a relief
Summary to go this method
1) Plug with LAN cable from Motorola (OUT LAN) to WAN (ARCHER C7)
2) NO need to disbale DHCP and NAT at Motorola
3) ONLY disable WIFI (motorola)
4) Set WIFI password for ARCHER C7
5) Archer C7 will show WAN is DYNAMIC IP (usually 168.192.0.1) for motorola
6) Preferbly change your ARcher IP gateway to something else example 168.192.1.1 or any number you like
7) For here on wards, plug PC to the LAN (archer C7) or use the WIFI (archer C7)
conclusion
1) immediately WIFI seems more smooth - after all is ARCHER C7 - I use only the 2.4 GHz
2) stability - so far so good - as long as the INCOMING from ABN is working well.
Hopes this posting help for those wanting to use ABN
I am still holding to my Maxis (Unifi) set and if all goes well - I will terminate in 30 days later.
regards
