ABN ok mah
Important must pull out any wire link to ABN when there is a thunderstorm
if not....TV also bye bye...and ABN modem as well.

Lucky TV under warranty but pretend don't know what happen when they come to replace the 1st time...and also 2nd time.
Now...whenever there is a thunderstorm...quickly pull out cable from TV and also ABN now...

Yeah, like Astro, rain come kenot use.

Go install maxis or unifi. Even rain still can use interwebz and tv.
*
Yup..
somehow ABN like Asstro....when thunderstorm sure kenot one.
Worse still, ABN easily got fried on modem and even TV if you choose to leave the "connection" on.

ABN still best value for money though.

But if your place can get 4G stable line aka Celcom/Maxis/Digi/UMobile/Altel, then it will be the best option provided Unlimited quota.
Currently enjoying 4G Unlimited aka Unifi Speed at only RM18 per month provided having all necessary condition and tools.

But hor, Customer Service is practically NIL.
it more like DIY.

Could you elaborate more on the RM18 4G?
*
I call it Unlimited 4G RM18 (monthly) that if you have know-how to setup your own server (Mine was done by a taikor here <--Great Guy).

If you want, be prepare to pay him [Setup Fee aka Rm40 or more which come with "software"] after you sign up with Server Hosting directly.
He will kautim for you that if you wanna your own private server.
Any maintanance on your Server, he also can do at a nominal fee.

if you wanna easy way, can rent aka rm20 or lower monthly from many Seller here or at FB.
You will get necessary tools to run it, almost like plug and play.

Eversince Celcom GhostBUSTING mode, it seem it will be wishful thinking that "Ghost mode" will stick forever to SIM.
As you can see, eversince Celcom PPU....almost all Ghost vanished.

Oh ya,
There is a condition if you wanna venture to this
As usual no warranty ya as i found out yesterday, any SIM also can get "blocked" also.
Advisable to get a standby SIM so that you can troubleshoot easily.

Good if your area got 4G and if you currently have 4G and using legit plan and get good speed.
Then this method will also have same speed as well without buying any monthly plan but need active validity aka 1 year validity. Credit below 50 cents is the best.

Since it can be use for PC only,
that is why i can it Unifi but without buying any monthly plan with right criteria.

Yes, it can be "mind blogging" trying to understand it but rewards is indeed blessing.

This is what i am getting now.

Is it available for mobile? Like a telco?
*
i did try.
it work for a while, seem NOT stable
and phone also need to be root

anyway, it crash my phone and i have to "factory reset" again.
So never try any more for NOW bt maybe later when i super duper hang itchy
it a battery draining anyway

you will need Eproxy/Tunnelling and AutoProxy to work.
Now i just lazy to try again..

Just buy Legit Plan and use moderately.
you could try XOX but 3G only....
MNP to get 28month validity but of course need to topup rm50 to fully get the 28 months

at less that rm50 won't kena PPU as Xox is HardStop..no PPU

Latest,, now they have Season Data Plan
where you can buy 3GB for RM54 <------- Best deal
aka Rm18 1GB monthly

It store your Data(Vault) inside the SIM
and you can utilise it 500Mb for one month period at any given time.

I use this ABNxcess for 2 months,

** I can tell you that this service totally cannot use!!! **

Problem 1: Low up time.
up time around 70% in Oct,
up time around 60% in Nov,
Up time around 30% till 12 Dec 2014.

The internet service down any time. For example, last down time is from 29 Nov to 9 Dec.

Problem 2: No support.
When there is not internet, I call their help line/ service line everyday, once a day.
The operator told me that someone / Technician will contact me within 48 hours.

BUT, NO BODY CONTACT ME. There is only one time someone contact me on 12 DEC, because I start call in 3 times a day. From 29 Nov I call once a day, from 7 Dec  I call 3 times a day.

Problem 3: Not Stable.
Internet is unstable, Streamyx is much more stable than ABNxcess.
When the only (very less) time that u able to online, the break down around 1 to 2 time in an hour. (break down time just 1 or 2 mins).

Problem 4: Internet speed go below 1 mbps at peak hour.
The up time is low, although most of the up time your download / upload is 10mbps / 2mbps,
But the peak hour, like wed evening, Friday night, Sunday your internet speed cut down to 1mbps.

** It said 10mbps, actually is 10mbps download and 2mbps upload, not like unifi or maxis fiber that 10 and 10.

Finally, I highly no recommend anyone of you apply this ABNxcess.

For Malaysia Telco whether fixed or wireless,
it seem always the "slowness" start from 7pm until about 3am on the average.

I am also another unhappy customer of ABNXcess.

Not only I got bad service, my TV was short circuit twice and both ABN devices short circuit by itself too during my less than 1 year with them. I have recently done a serious test with their service and you can see that the 10 Mbps capacity that they are advertising, becomes 1 Mbps or less for no apparent reason. The result are captured using a product by the name of My Connection PC by Visualware.

The speed test that we done via speedtest.net is measuring the speed of the connection, which can be explained by best effort, but the capacity should never change as it is the max the connection can offer.

Below are some graphs that I have captured to prove that ABN does not provide what they are advertised. Some of them are captured over a period between 8:00pm to 6:00am the next day and some of them are spot graphs. They are self explanatory and for more technical inclined, you may refer to more graphs in my album below.

You may use the trial version to capture the trend and show it to the CS and either ask for rebate, or cancel the service without paying penalty.

hahaha
your area got raining and thunderstorm, bor?
thats the only way that TV and ABN devices can short circuit.
