The promo price is 98.99 for both TV and 10Mbps Internet, even if don't use the TV, only use the internet service is already worthwhile..? But the question is the internet connection stable or not? I assume it's riding on TM HSBB backbone
*
I currently subscribe to their TV package. It's been down since 3 days ago. Called their helpline and was told need to wait 48 hours. Kind of disappointed with the quality of service. I'm UNIFI user and was planning to switch to their internet package to save some bucks but I guess need to hold off the plan for a while until it's reliable.

My UNIFI contract also expiring soon but I am planning to renew with Unifi soon. I am an existing customer for their TV package (RM 30/month) but it has been down for 6 days now. Things are not looking good at reliability scale and I certainly don't want my internet experience to be interrupted by teething issues with ABN.

My advice is to stay away from them until someone can become the lab test. We need to know the quota, whether p2p is throttled and whether speed is as advertised and consistent throughout the day. Then there's latency issue as well.

Current pricing seems cheap. I believe there must be a trade-off somewhere. I'm not willing to be an early adopter even though my area under coverage. hmm.gif

Current promo tie up is 2 years.
For me, it's too long for the tie up for a new ISP with no proven experience of managing customers.

depends on you...last time i take maxis fibre rm118 also new isp,now so far is ok...all company will offer for the 1st batch customer... after that, the price sure will increase...like u buy a house...1st batch is cheaper after that the price Increase.
*
Maxis is not a new ISP. It has the experience of managing internet services ever since before fiber was born in Malaysia. The current ABN is a totally new company. If it's Maxis I'll sign up. ABN? Heh, it's TV service also cannot do properly. Mine was down for 4 consecutive days. CS also new, don't know anything except requesting customers to reset decoder and wait.

Might as well add rm66 for 10Mbps Internet ?

I subscribed to the TV before they came out with the bundle.

I've been trying to reach the CS to ask if I can subscribe during the first few days and they always tell me they'll get back to me. I also asked for quota and more info and they don't know what I'm talking about.

You can try to ask on Facebook page of ABNxcess. Check back historical posts and you'll see many posts about internet package went unanswered.

Hmm, I think i shall just "walk" directly to their HQ and ask that is directly beside puchong gateway.. Heck My office is just few miles away from their building =_="

But last week when i enquired about the service if it is available for our own office... they mentioned that it is not yet ready for "our office", despite it is just few blocks away +_+
*
Haha, that puchong gateway office can't even pay my bills. That one is their operation office. Customer matters such as subscription, billing and troubleshooting need to go their service centers.

QUOTE(Crystal2 @ Aug 12 2013, 06:50 AM)
Do you subscribe the add-on packs such as xcess Flicks?
Can we pay through post office or electronic banking like Maybank2U? Thanks.
*
Nope. I didn't. Anyway I subscribe for my dad and he is quite happy with CCTV channels. (I might terminate in favor of higher internet speed package for streaming soon). As for bill payment, only service centers or BSN. That's all.

Im asking more on Tech-related >.<

Since 90% of the time i can see those wearing ABN cable guy t-shirt guys are lurking around the offices >.<
*
Their curstomer care are not well versed when it comes to internet, well can't blame them also since their main focus is on cable tv services. I personally don't think they make a lot from selling internet packages. My house got coverage but my shop which is just less than 1km away doesn't have coverage even for cable tv. I guess they prioritize residential premises more than commercial.

FAQ:

Q: May I know the fiber will be connected to TM existing Fiber Distrubution Point (FDP) or from your company owned FDP? Which mean the fiber connect will start from outside the house?

ABN is adopting the DOCSIS technology to provide broadband service over ABN’s very own Hybrid Fiber Coaxial (HFC) network, which means our backbone is using Fiber, and our last mile access to your house is using copper coaxial cable.

With such price for the speed, it's sketchy.

For the 10MBps package, is the upload speed up to par with the downloads?
*
No, I heard 10Mbps download and 1Mbps upload.

So when you get this 3 months trial, do you get to use both UniFi and ABN at the same time? Or have to cancel your Unifi?
*
To answer that, honestly I wasn't keen because UniFi served me well but CS informed me that I can cancel after 3 months is up, so why not? smile.gif
