I have just changed my rear door speakers to a pair of 6.5" boschmann mid-bass'.
When I crank up the volume I can hear the some vibration coming from the door, which i guess is due to the low freq sounds.

Any way I can reduce this?

u must check out yourself what is the actual single thing that vibrate
solve it then u no need spend $$$ on soundproofing

i think its the door panel , when i press against it the vibration is less, but not gone... maybe stuff like dynamat in my doors can help? also could it be due to the way i mounted my speakers? i used some foam tape around my speakers b4 screwing it in.

If you are playing bass output from the speakers as well. Then, you are sending vibration everywhere at the door panel. Dynamat extreme or Raamat sound proofing material would definately help in this. I had one at my boot area and it works fantastic to totally eliminate my woofer vibration.

get material from hardware shop can be much cheaper than u buy those dynamat

If you are going to use those foam type to do the insulation then you can forget it. It will never surpress the vibration. Only those dampening similar like those used by Dynamat could only do the job.

I've been there, done that.

yea i am playing bass from those speakers....my DLS front comps i cut off the lower freqs and theres no rattling. so ur saying the only thing that can help me is dynamat extreme/raamat for my doors?

and how much will it cost/where to get it done?

Any brands that are using the same material like Dynamat, Raamat or Sikadamp could do the job but of course you have to hunt around for prices. Most of the accessories shop can do it for you. Per piece is usually range from RM150 to RM200. Depends of what brand you opt for. Some might be even cheaper. There is another forum which selling Raamat 15" by 12.5 ft for RM175. Which enough to cover 2 front door on WIRA. There is, if you DIY

component set should be okay if well mounted and assuming ur midbass isnt the really bassy type , IMHO.

if it vibrate..check the nuts and screw inside the door panel..tighten them all up...that will solve ur problem....also make sure ur speaker mounting screw is placed nicely...

yeah i shall do that after my finals exams, hopefully that will help...

and i think i'll try to find some cheap sound absorbing material and line my doors with it too.

tighten those screws doesn't help. As it is already tighten in the first place from manufacturer. Assuming its a new car. Those vibrating metal sound usually comes from the metal panel holding either the power windows or wind shield glass. The tiny metal bar that used to lock and unlock your door is also the culprit.

I have done dynamat extreme on my boot area to isolate my sub. The result is significant.

I just bought another half roll of Raamat and planning to put it at both door and spare tyre area. Will post again for the result.
