Any owner here has clocked over 100,000 KM without any problem?
6 or 7 speed DSG with 1.4L TSI?
Anyone?

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « it's 6 speed DQ250? closer look on spec surprise me it's only over 100KG heavier than passat, passat is heavy. Since VW is only gaining their market in our local markets in past 5 years, any reputable non- SC repairers? Any user here send to these workshops? Esp. in Southern region, so far I only know the SC in Federal Auto. I know one or two for Peugeot/ Citroen, but Volkswagen? This post has been edited by outpace: Jul 1 2014, 08:56 AM |

QUOTE(kslee79 @ Nov 6 2014, 09:37 PM) There are two versions of Tiguan now btw, 1.4 BlueMotion and 2.0 4Motion. The 2.0 one is all-time-all-wheel-drive (heavier, less efficiency = higher FC). QUOTE(azxel @ Nov 6 2014, 09:49 PM) Was eyeing the 1.4 TSi. Heard it's wet and without much issues. Guess I need to physically see it for myself. Hope they have a test drive unit though and some discounts... QUOTE(kslee79 @ Nov 7 2014, 12:48 AM) I am interested to know too, so do let us know for the 1.4 TSi version what gearbox it has. For the 2.0, it is a 7 speed wet clutch DSG DQ500. Experience with 1.4lNot so fast acceleration after 160KM/H. Passenger side of seat can't go max down (lying position) So far so good, what shame it doesn't have leather seat. Average Fuel consumption 7.5KM/l |

Friend's 1.4 MK6's piston cracked, sent into SC for few weeks but no courtesy car.
It's basically a 2 years old car which was not driven in harsh way, housewife car. Since it has already happened, anyone can share the Are they going to change a more stronger piston ? for all cylinders or only the cracked piston? Anyone has this "cracking" experience? By the way, I think this down to the drain sometime ago http://paultan.org/2014/11/26/volkswagen-m...sy-car-service/ |

QUOTE(dp82 @ Jan 10 2015, 07:30 PM) Courtesy car is a wise move. But unfortunately, there r no available units & running around KL without a car for the past 3 weeks is pain in d a**. Exactly, so u can still move around when it happened in KL, can imagine in other smaller town with or totally no public transport? lol, VW should be the "Swatch" in car world - "Second Car" So in d end, it contradicts with what was announced by VGM. QUOTE(winkiedilwy @ Jan 11 2015, 02:01 PM) So it's really about time to replace our 2+ yo Tiguan's wiper blades. Original ones cost around RM100++ so I decided to go on a budget. Hi, so you ended up holding a pair of RM100 Sumo blade, but couldn't fit into your Tiguan? have u fixed it? RM100 is still a good deal compares to original price.F**k this. After lots of shouting and stuff, decided to go for Sumo's direct replacement silicone blade. RM100 per pair Any ideas how to fix these? QUOTE(samsss @ Jan 12 2015, 10:54 AM) which model r ur friend driving?? did your friend check with the availbility of the courtesy car before sending in? I did ask him to show what VW announced in last year after I got to know, not sure if he ask, update here next time.so far I don't have this cracking issue QUOTE(fr0sti3 @ Jan 12 2015, 11:17 AM) i did the refill replacement few months back, not really that hard Hi DaiGor, so you done the replacement yourself? by changing only the silicon / rubber blade? just that some wiper have a locking clip on the blade so u have to technically teardown the whole wiper to unlock it what brand you got? QUOTE(weiseng.9122 @ Jan 13 2015, 12:52 PM) As for the piston problem I think It depends on the condition whether they gonna change for all cylinder or that particular piston. Actually to obtain a courtesy car you might need to refer back to the article, its stated clearly at the "UPDATE" section. You mean the 24 hours rule or the breakdown rule? piston change certainly exceed 1 day..... so VW will only provides you a courtesy car if your car stopPED beside road, but they will not if you sent your car into VW SC??? is that what they mean in their UPDATE? |

QUOTE(Jackofree @ Apr 30 2015, 03:43 PM) guys, how do i set the aircon to circulate air from the inside permanently? I have to activate the switch each time I enter the car, is there any way to make it permanent? QUOTE(Yapmy @ Apr 30 2015, 05:04 PM) read the manual which state we should not prolong the air circulatr function, I'm confused. all my previous driving experience and taught by dad that enclosed air circulation is the "correct" thing to do. sifu ah tuk, kind to enlighten me? |

QUOTE(kslee79 @ May 28 2015, 08:16 PM) Hahaha, you're really mixed up by now! I'm the Tiguan guy with a bit of humming noise from stop-to-go. Anyway, VGM called me and offered me a RM100 BHP petrol voucher, asked me to send my car to Swire Group VW Puchong to let some German experts have a go at sorting out the problem... SWEET! QUOTE(singenggoulee @ May 28 2015, 04:22 PM) Oh ya! you are tiguan with the head seat problem... haha!! Hi, what head seat problem? cause I do have problem with the Tiguan Head Seat. Sorry lol~ Sharan headseat set no problem for me To report to them in coming service. |
