Hi All,

would like to seek help from you all as im hitting wall with one of the vw service center, its vw swire motors puchong to be exact. Sent in my car since 23rd Sept and till now my car issue isn't resolved...here is the detail.

I owned a golf mk6 1.4tsi made year 2011. Sent in my car for checking due to below issues.

Issues:
1. Steering clicking noise when turning the steering wheel

2. Engine jerking and hissing noise when accelerate and between 1500km to 3000km. (intermittent)

3. Bearing grinding noise on the passenger side when go above 100kmh.

4. Car cabin loose noise when go over bump

Sent in my car to Swire Motors Puchong on 23rd September with above issues reported. Test drove with the technician ans acknowledged on above issues. I specifically told the service advisor to resolved all issues before call me to collect my car.

On First Week,
got a call after after few days was told by the service advisor that they have fixed issue no.1 and no.4. However they are unable to check issue no.2 due to the problem do not occurred during their 2nd test run and there is no fault code in the ECU. As for issue no.3, they feedback this is norm for all vw model. The Service Advisor told me they even record the noise sample and sent it back to VGM and VGM feedback this is normal. My first reaction was like "WHAT, You Kidding me!?", i calmly reply the service adviser the noise is not norm and you hear it loudly when car hit 100kmh. The adviser promised they will continue to look into it and if necessary they will get Technician from VGM come down to service center to take a look.

On Second Week
After a week plus, i got a call from SC that my car issues were resolved, 2nd Oct to be exact. i collect my car on 4th Oct and found out the issue no.2 and no.3 are still persist. So i return the car and got it escalated to their branch manager on the same day. The manager promised they will look into it and will escalate it to VGM since they are not able to resolved the issue. The Manager also promised they will keep me posted on the progress.

oh yeah, 1 funny moment was...i got a call from VGM at the same time to survey about my satisfaction towards to their aftersales service. And you all should already know what is my answer.

On third Week
Since first day i sent my car, two weeks gone and no solution for my issue. On the third week, I was promised by the branch manager they will call me n keep me posted however i waited for 3-4 days in third week and i received no updates from the SC so i called back to the SC, they feedback they are still diagnose on the root cause for issue no.2 & no.3. and i was told by one of the service adviser that the "god" is against me because of the bad weather/heavy rain and they can't diagnose the issue properly. what has got to do with the bad weather!? seriously, their customer service and communication skill are BIG failure!

On Fourth Week
last week was forth week n they are still not able to find the root cause for both issues no.2 and no.3. I called to SC, they feedback for issue no.2, The technician test drove my car and found the issue no.2 is still persist and it happened intermittently. they suspecting issue no.2 is causing by piston cracked due to pressure loss however they cant do anything because they are not able to find any fault code from the engine and ran piston compression test found no issues. They said there is nothing they can do since without any error codes, they cant proceed to repair EVEN the issue is OBVIOUS and PERSISTENT! requested further escalation but i was told their Manager was not in the office

As for issue no.3, they have tested it with another sets of tires and rims and confirmed the noise is gone. So they suspect the noise is coming out from my rims/tires. I'm still doubting it but i still giving them the benefits of doubt since i'm not the expert.

the manager called me next day morning and told me they can't do anything since there is no fault code from the engine and he even mentioned "it is just matter of time" and "wait for it to snap", so what is it? i'm driving a time bomb machine waiting for it to break anytime??? what happened the car breakdown in the middle of road? It can be live or Death situation when it happen! Seriously, this is not acceptable, you found the symptom and you know it is going to happen so why let it happen??? Obviously, i was furious and told him this is unacceptable and in the end the manager promised he will write a technical report to VGM for further escalation.
up to this point i have totally no confidence with the service center itself so i went to submit my complaints to VGM via their FB & their official website, got a reply from their FB they will contact me asap but i didn't receive any.

Fifth Week
fourth week gone and today is week no.5, i still didn't get any updates from Service Center. called to service center just now and was told the Service Adviser who handling my case and the branch manager are both not in the office. sent another complaints to VGM facebook page via private message and received a call from VGM just now but they are just following up whether the issue still persist. seriously? i have to answer that? VGM should have check with Swire motor first before come to me, for now, i want resolution but nothing else....

Much appreciate if someone had this kind of unpleasant experience before can tell me what can i do next in order to get these issues fix asap.

oh ya, talking about getting courtesy car....i was requesting 1 but they can't promise me and have to depends on the availability bla bla bla....wait.....isn't they just announce that they going to promise all customer will get courtesy car if need to stay in service center more than 48hours? i just counted mine 230hours plus and i couldn't get a courtesy car, bravo VGM bravo!

The shop people will change for you, no need DIY.
If got stolen then is original... Haha
